Joshua 1 1-5
1:1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses aide:
1:2 Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to themto the Israelites.
1:3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.
1:4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphratesall the Hittite country to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.
1:5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Our Heavenly Father talked to Joshua after Moses moved on and told him to lead the people of Israel. He always said for the people to be strong and that he would be with them always. Our Heavenly Father also encouraged them to keep following the bible and meditating on it everyday. The most oldest version of the bible that exists today is what is written on the scrolls, since before Jesus came. Joshua later was called into the priest hood, by then the sea of Galilee was crossed and most of the people were protected from evil spirits. After crossing the Jordan river going into Egypt and the surrounding areas Joshua was to conquer the lands and the enemies are defeated. The land was then inherited by the people of Israel.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father fill us with courage to take hold of what you have promised. We pray that like Joshua, We will not walk in defeat, but that we will prevail over the enemy and possess the land. In the same way that you led Joshua in battle, We submit to your leadership. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
Prayer of Salvation: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
