Opening Hymn: We love this place O God by William Bullock;
1 We love the place, O God,
wherein thine honour dwells;
the joy of thine abode
all earthly joy excels.2 We love the house of prayer,
wherein thy servants meet;
and thou, O Lord, art there
thy chosen flock to greet.3 We love the sacred font;
for there the holy Dove
to pour is ever wont
his blessing from above.4 We love thine altar, Lord;
O what on earth so dear?
for there, in faith adored,
we find thy presence near.5 We love the word of life,
the word that tells of peace,
of comfort in the strife,
and joys that never cease.6 We love to sing below
for mercies freely given;
but O we long to know
the triumph-song of heaven.7 Lord Jesus, give us grace
on earth to love thee more,
in heaven to see thy face,
and with thy saints adore.
The book of psalms is very enjoyable because it is made up of hymns giving a message, and they are very important. Please take time to read the book of psalms. Faith can call us to live into God’s will for our life instead of reducing our lives because of our fears and insecurities. Exercise your courage, even if you only have a little. Keep believing God, and He will add His courage to yours. He will encourage your heart. David is working through a very troubling reality in his life with the Lord’s help. And that troubling reality involves wicked men. Their presence and activities may very well call for national judgement. Psalm 29 can be read as a rebuke to those who worshiped the creation instead of the Creator. David sinned by taking a census against Our Heavenly Father’s wishes, resulting in God’s discipline.
Closing Hymn; Rise up to the most high by Mooji;
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death
I will fear no evil knowing you are with me
Your rod and your staff – they comfort me
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows
Surely, goodness, love and mercy
will follow me all the days of my life
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever
Amen
The Lord is my shepherd
I shall not want
He makes me lie down in green pastures
He leads me beside quiet waters
He restores my soul
He leads me along the right paths
For His name’s sake
(repeat)
Even though I walk
through the valley of
the shadow of death
I will fear no evil, no evil
(repeat)
For You are with me
For Lord, You are with me
The Lord is my shepherd
I shall not want
He makes me lie down in green pastures
He leads me beside quiet waters
He restores my soul
He leads me along the right paths
For His name’s sake
Even though I walk
through the valley of
the shadow of death
I will fear no evil, no evil
Moojiji, You are with me
My Lord, You are with me
