Revelation 12:9 – And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:
1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1 John 3:8 – He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
2 Corinthians 11:14 – And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
John 8:44 – Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
James 4:7 – Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Romans 16:20 – And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
According to religious texts, the Devil, also known as Satan, is often depicted as a deceiver who engages in activities like tempting individuals to sin, spreading lies, causing discord and strife, obstructing good deeds, tormenting people, and instigating destructive behaviors, essentially aiming to lead people away from God and righteousness. Key actions attributed to the Devil:
- Temptation: Presenting alluring but sinful options to entice people to act against their moral compass.
- Deception: Lying and twisting the truth to mislead people and create doubt.
- Accusation: Whispering negative thoughts to undermine self-worth and faith.
- Distraction: Diverting attention away from spiritual pursuits with worldly distractions.
- Instigation of conflict: Provoking arguments, disagreements, and hatred among people.
- Persecution: Actively causing hardship and suffering to those who follow a righteous path.
- False prophecy: Spreading misleading messages or interpretations of religious teachings.
- Pride and arrogance: Encouraging self-centeredness and a sense of superiority.
- Despair and hopelessness: Planting negative thoughts to discourage people from pursuing their goals.
Important points to consider:
- Different religious interpretations may vary in how they portray the adversary’s capabilities and methods.
- Many religious traditions emphasize the power of faith and resistance against the Adversary’s influence.
- The concept of the adversary is often used metaphorically to represent negative forces within individuals or society.
The adversary has many things and tricks that he makes people do to each other. If you ever feel like you are going to do any of the above actions listed, the adversary may be around you or jumped inside you. The best way to fight back against any of this is to say, Whatever might be around me that is not of Our Heavenly Father leave me now in the name of Our lord and savior, or a newer method that is used more these days is I send you back to sender. It is always helpful to get into your bibles more, read a chapter to a few verses at a time as you feel led to. Sometimes the adversary can invade a person when they make a mistake and forget to ask for forgiveness and repent. So this is why it is very important when you make a mistake to ask for forgiveness and repent of it. You can also say when you feel under attack that Leave me now in the name of Our lord and savior you know you have to flee. At the end of the day you can pray to Our Heavenly Father for forgiveness for anything you might have done wrong during the day without your knowledge. The adversary is a very tricky being and can canive you into doing things so you have to keep a watch at all times. It is important as well when communicating with Our Heavenly Father to make sure it really is him you are talking to because the adversary can make himself sound like him, so always make sure you really are talking to Our Heavenly Father, Jesus, or The Holy Spirit.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father help us to get closer to you and know you better so we can keep the adversary away from us as much as possible. We thank you for all the protection you give each day. We pray in the name of Our lord and savior.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
