Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. Sunday service Sunday January 26, 2025.

  • Isaiah 54:17
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn”
  • Psalms 21:11
“Although they plot against you, their evil schemes will never succeed
  • 2 Thessalonians 3:3
“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one”.

Opening Hymn: A mighty fortress is Our God; HF Hedge:

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing
Our Helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe

His craft and pow’r are great, and, armed with cruel hate
On earth is not his equal

Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God’s own choosing
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He

The Lord of hosts His name, from age to age the same
And He must win the battle

And though this world with devils filled should threaten to undo us
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him

His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure
One little word shall fell him

That word above all earthly pow’rs, no thanks to them, abideth
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him who with us sideth
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also

The body they may kill; God’s truth abideth still
His kingdom is forever

Sermon:

This whole week we did a miniseries on the adversary and if you really paid attention you would really know why he does what he does and you would also know why you do not want to have him. Look where he lives you are part of a fire, whoever is down there is part of a fire. But the fires is not really great yet because it has not been judgement day. When there you will not have the Heavenly Father’s love and protection, instead you will have fire, not water, nothing. Remember this is a war between your Heavenly Father and and an angel that went bad. We are caught in the middle due to Adam and Eve. This is because the adversary tricked Eve into eating from the tree of knowledge. Adam had some because his wife wanted him to according to the rest of the story. The adversary was acting as a gardener back then. You never know what he will do next. Please take this miniseries and learn from it. You have a free will and can make a decision, but if we were you we would pick The Heavenly Father.

Here is a list of things the adversary does.

  • Temptation: Presenting alluring but sinful options to entice people to act against their moral compass.
  • Deception: Lying and twisting the truth to mislead people and create doubt.
  • Accusation: Whispering negative thoughts to undermine self-worth and faith.
  • Distraction: Diverting attention away from spiritual pursuits with worldly distractions.
  • Instigation of conflict: Provoking arguments, disagreements, and hatred among people.
  • Persecution: Actively causing hardship and suffering to those who follow a righteous path.
  • False prophecy: Spreading misleading messages or interpretations of religious teachings.
  • Pride and arrogance: Encouraging self-centeredness and a sense of superiority.
  • Despair and hopelessness: Planting negative thoughts to discourage people from pursuing their goals.

The motive of the adversary doing the things he does is to displace God. Satan’s pride drove him to fall. We see this clearly in the final temptation of Jesus in Matthew 4:9.

THE adversary’s AIM IS TO INTOXICATE PEOPLE WITH SIN,SO THAT THEY GO TO HELL,SO THAT THOSE PEOPLE MAY ACCOMPANY. Let us be clear, this is not a game, it is serious, we realize some people think it is a game, it is not, there are people that realize it is not.

Closing Hymn:  A wonderful savior by Fanny Crosby:

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
a wonderful Savior to me;
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,
where rivers of pleasure I see.

Refrain:
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
that shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He hideth my life in the depths of His love,
and covers me there with His hand,
and covers me there with His hand.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
He taketh my burden away;
He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved,
He giveth me strength as my day. [Refrain]

With numberless blessings each moment He crowns,
and filled with His fullness divine,
I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God
for such a Redeemer as mine! [Refrain]

When clothed in His brightness, transported I rise
to meet Him in clouds of the sky,
His perfect salvation, His wonderful lov
I’ll shout with the millions on high. [Refrain]

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before you today seeking your protection against those who seek to harm me. With your power and authority, I ask that you keep my adversaries away from me, thwarting their plans and shielding me from their evil intentions. Surround me with your loving presence, and let your light shine brightly to ward off any darkness that may come near. In Jesus’ name.

Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
