1 Peter 5:8-9. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Matthew 5:25 Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
Many today mock the idea of an adversary, but Scripture clearly states that Satan is real, and his goal is to draw people away from God, to thwart His purposes, and to cause division.
There are many things that the adversary likes to do to people, but the main goal that he has is to make sure people are not that close to Our Heavenly Father, and that they remain separated from him, as well as trying to cause them to walk in his purposes for their lives. An example of this would be that Our Heavenly Father does not like people playing with matches because they are dangerous and can harm you or cause a fire and the home that you get blessed to have burns down. But the adversary is always looking for a way to tempt a person into doing the opposite. Such as whispering to the person, Go ahead, use the matches, you know you want to pick them up and play with them, they surely will not be a problem. The best way to guard against ending up falling for an adverary’s trick into doing what he would want you to do is spend as much time as you can with your Heavenly Father pray, and have a good talk with him and ask what he would want you to do each day. Then read your bibles, a chapter, or a few verses. The more time you spend with Our Heavenly Father the more he can protect and keep the adversary from reaching his goals.
Closing Prayer:”In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke and break any curses, hexes, spells, demonic activity, or any other evil thing that has been sent against us or passed down through the generations to us or to any of the people or areas for whom we am praying.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit.
