Opening Hymn: Christ the lord has risen today by Charles Wesley;
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!
2 Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!
3 Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where’s thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!
4 Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!
5 Hail the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail the Resurrection, thou, Alleluia!
6 King of glory, soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing, and thus to love, Alleluia!
Sermon:
Today is Easter. We celebrate how Our lord and savior was given victor over sin, and death. This was done so we could live an eternal life with him, Our Heavenly Father and The Holy Spirit. If we promise to trust and believe in him.The resurrection offers hope for eternal life and reconciliation with God, a message of redemption and a new beginning. It is also very important to pay close attention to the lord and spend a lot of time with him in prayer and talking to him about what he would like you to do. Also remember to ask for forgiveness for any mistakes you might have made and any you recall from while you are reflecting back on what happened in your life during the year. Remember he judges you while you are down here, not from up there, but you get his decision once you get up there. He does wish to see everyone make it up to heaven with him. Many are called to live a life of being committed in helping bring the kingdom of Our Heavenly Father all over the world. A lot of this calling happens during Easter. As we celebrate Easter, let us remember the profound significance of Jesus’ resurrection, the hope it offers, and the call to live lives that reflect His love and grace. Let us go forth and share the good news of the risen Christ with the world, bringing hope and transformation to all.
Closing Hymn: The Old Rugged Cross by George Bernard:
1 On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
the emblem of suffering and shame;
and I love that old cross where the dearest and best
for a world of lost sinners was slain.
Refrain:
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
and exchange it some day for a crown.
2 O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
has a wondrous attraction for me;
for the dear Lamb of God left his glory above
to bear it to dark Calvary. [Refrain]
3 In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
a wondrous beauty I see,
for ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
to pardon and sanctify me. [Refrain]
4 To that old rugged cross I will ever be true,
its shame and reproach gladly bear;
then he’ll call me some day to my home far away,
where his glory forever I’ll share. [Refrain]
.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the joy of Easter, for the resurrection of your Son, Jesus Christ, which has given us hope and new life. We praise you for your love and forgiveness, which are evident in the sacrifice He made for us. Help us to live in a way that honors His resurrection, serving others and sharing your love with the world. Guide us to be faithful and to follow your teachings, so that we may experience the fullness of life you offer through your Son.
Our lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sins agains
t you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
