Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to draw near to Him, offering us the opportunity to pray and promising to hear and answer our prayers. - Scripture Study:
Studying the scriptures and the words of prophets helps us understand Heavenly Father’s will and learn about His character - Living Righteously:
Striving to live a righteous life, following His commandments, and seeking to become more like Him, allows us to draw closer to H - Seeking Guidance from the Holy Ghost:
Heavenly Father speaks to us through the Holy Ghost, giving us thoughts in our minds and feelings in our heart - Trusting in the Lord and His Sources:
We can trust in the Lord’s promise that “by the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things” (Moroni 10:5) - Recognizing and Avoiding Unreliable Sources:
Sincere seekers of truth should be wary of unreliable sources of information and those who seek to distort truth - Serving Others:
By serving others, we are the fellow servants of Christ. - Witnessing and Serving:
When we discover truth in Christ, we must be willing “to stand as [a witness] of God at all times and in all things, and in all places” (Mosiah 18:9).
We can do this by studying the scriptures and words of the prophets, praying, living righteously, attending school or taking other courses, taking interest in the things around us, and seeking to understand our experiences. As we gain knowledge, we will learn to appreciate all that the Lord has provided for us.
So the answer to the question, “Where do we get the knowledge about God?”, is through our observation of Creation, the Scriptures and especially the life of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
We can do this by asking questions such as “What do I already know
about Heavenly Father, His plan, and how He deals with His children?” and “What

n understanding of your need of Him and His total Sovereignty in Creation.
Many misunderstand their Heavenly Father because they project onto Him the shortcomings and sinful tendencies of their own parents.
Closing prayer: Father, I thank you for Your Son Jesus Christ, who brings to me spiritual wisdom, knowledge, and intelligence, through the Holy Spirit. I thank you for your will in my life, and I pray for these things which enable me to perceive, and carry out that will. In the name of our lord and savior we pray.
