Opening Hymn: Be blessed by Yolanda Adams:
[Verse 1]
Too many storms have passed your way
And you’re all washed out cause it rained on your parade
Seems nobody cares about you anyway
Now you’re living your life like a castaway
Searched for strength inside was it all in vain
Cause the deeper you dig you find more and more pain
Don’t let your tomorrow be like yesterday
Cause I spoke to God, I called out your name
And on your behalf, I just asked if He would be there for you
I want you to
[Chorus]
Be blessed, don’t live life in distress
Just let go, let God
He’ll work it out for you
I pray that your soul will be blessed
Forever in his rest
‘Cause you deserve his best no less
[Verse 2]
Enter a place where you never have to cry
Never have to live a lie, never have to wonder why
Never want for nothing you’re always satisfied
In the peace that his arms will provide
He will erase any guilt or shame, any bad habits you’ve got
You won’t wanna do em again, Yes we all can change, I can testify
See I spoke to God, I called out your name
And on your behalf, I just asked, If he would be there for you
I want you
Sermon:
Our Heavenly Father generally expects us to love Him and others, follow His Son, Jesus Christ, submit our will to Him, demonstrate qualities like justice, kindness, and humility, and believe in Him to overcome trials and return to His presence. We are to strive to live the gospel to the best of our ability, becoming more like Jesus Christ in our actions and attitudes.
To obey the Heavenly Father’s guidance means to willingly follow God’s will, teachings, and promptings out of love and trust. This practice is based on the belief that God knows what is best for us and that living in alignment with his desires leads to a more purposeful and peaceful life. Elements of obeying God’s guidance. The statement “Our Heavenly Father orders our steps by his spirit” reflects a Christian belief found in the Bible, particularly in Psalm 37:23, which states, “The steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord”. This verse suggests that Our Heavenly Father actively guides the paths and actions of those who seek to live righteously, and the Holy Spirit serves as the divine mechanism for this guidance.
For Christians, this guidance is often understood as being carried out through the Holy Spirit, who is seen as a personal guide.
Christians are encouraged to work diligently and wholeheartedly, as if working directly for the Lord rather than for human masters.
Work is an opportunity to serve others and let your “light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Closing Hymn: Glory Glory to the Father by Melissa Oretade:
Glory, glory to the Father!
Glory, glory to the Son!
Glory, glory to the Spirit!
Glory to the Three in One! Let us praise Him! Let us praise Him!
Praise our God, the Three in One!
Give Him glory; give Him glory!
Wondrous things for us our God hath done.2
Praise the Father who has purposed!
Praise the Son who all has done!
Praise the Spirit who transmitteth!
Praise the Three who work as one
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, offering my life and my steps to Your divine direction today. Just as Psalm 37:23 says, I believe that the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord, and I desire to be one such person who delights in Your way.
Lord, I ask You to order my steps according to Your holy Word and Your perfect will. May Your wisdom guide every decision and every move I make. Prevent any plans of the enemy from succeeding in diverting my path from Your righteous purpose for my life.
Please, Lord, let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Guard my heart, my mind, my words, and my deeds so that I may always walk in a way that is pleasing to You. Show me the right paths and give me the strength and courage to follow where You lead.
I surrender my plans and trust in Your perfect plan for my life. Thank You for Your unfailing love, Your wisdom, and Your constant guidance. May I walk with confidence and assurance, knowing that You are leading me.
In Jesus’ name.
Our lord and savior we pray. Please
forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
