Raynette K. Weiss and Associate Pastor Jessie K. Weiss. We are two of Our Heavenly Father’s vessels. The best way to understand the Bible. Tuesday August 26, 2025.

To understand the Bible, it is crucial to use a combination of personal prayer, methodical study, and historical context, rather than relying on a single approach. Since the Bible is a collection of 66 books written by different authors over many centuries, it should be read as a diverse library rather than a single book.

Begin with a consistent study plan, starting with prayer and reading in small, focused portions, such as one chapter a day. Consider the historical and literary context of each passage, using resources like Bible study guides and commentaries to gain deeper insight. Apply a systematic approach by observing what the text says, elucidating its meaning, and applying its message to your own life. Engage with community through a Bible study group and apply the scriptures through action to experience its power.
