Jeremiah 17:14 (NIV)
Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.
James 5: 14-15 (NIV)
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
2 Chronicles 7:14-15 (NIV)
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place
Hello, everyone, welcome to Living Supernaturally. We are glad to be doing this, glad to be meeting online, looking into the word of God, studying the word of God, and applying the word of God. His word is so powerful, gives us faith, cleanses us, washes us and so many wonderful things. We are really grateful to the Lord for His word to be released amongst us. As disciples of the Lord Jesus, it is also a joy and privilege to walk in His way and to minister just like the way the Lord Jesus did. In fact, He is looking to us and He says in John chapter 14, we see the Lord saying that the works that I do, you will do also and greater works than these. So, as we minister and share the gospel, we do it with Holy Ghost power and there are many ways by which healing is ministered. One such way is through the healing anointing. When we look at the word anointing, it means the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. The anointing/ presence and power of the Holy Spirit empowers a person/ an individual to manifest the healing power of God, in healings, miracles and so on. The anointing can also be present over a gathering, or a group of people and we see that in the way the Lord Jesus ministered, the power of the Lord was present to heal them all. We see that there can be a healing presence and power of the Lord over a group of people/ gathering, manifesting in healing. The Lord Jesus, whatever He did, He ministered by the power of the Holy Spirit. Act chapter 10 and verse 38, ‘God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.’ How did He do it? He did it by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. This healing anointing is the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to bring about healing. As the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to bring about healing was with Jesus because of the Holy Spirit, so also with us, as we have been baptized with the Holy Spirit, we have been filled with the Holy Spirit. In fact, the way we walk, just like Jesus did, is only because pf the power of the Holy Spirit. He wants to do this; the question is do we want to walk the way He did? Do we want to minister the way He did? The first thing we must do is to desire, 1 Corinthians chapter 14 talks about how we need to pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, in the same way desire the power and presence of the Lord. Secondly, to expect the healing anointing to be present and to expect the presence and power of the Lord to make a change and bring about healing in a person when we pray. So, today, if you have an opportunity, desire healing anointing from the Lord and expect the healing anointing to make a change when we encounter people with these conditions. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you for the healing anointing, the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, to bring about healing. We thank you that you have anointed and baptized us with your Holy Spirit, and it is your desire that we do the things that you did and even greater things. Even as share the gospel and minister in healing, may we do so with your power. I pray that you will move in power and cause bodies to be healed and minds to be set free, we thank you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
