- Ephesians 5:18:
This verse is a command to believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit, rather than being controlled by alcohol or other worldly influences. - Other Relevant Verses:

- John 6:63: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no use at all. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”
Lesson
Heavenly Father is very much for his people having a spirit filled life. The Holy Spirit will guide and lead his people to help with following his will and plans for their lives. A lot of strength joy and fun is included with this type of lifestyle as well Some people also believe that this type of life only deals with the emotions, but as it was mentioned, it is about living life according to Our Heavenly Father’s will. It is also very important to remember to keep a good study schedule for the Bible and following his word. Yield to God and His will through confession and repentance(1 John 1:9). Submit to God as a living sacrifice (Romans 6:13; 12:1,2). Surrender, and be eager to do what is good (Titus 2:14). Third, walk by faith. Our Heavenly Father’s wish for us has always been to always focus heavily on his son and his teachings. When this is done many changes for the better will begin to happen, and lots of joy and fun will result.To be filled with the Spirit is to be permeated by the truth concerning Christ revealed in Scripture.
The seven marks of the church are: being filled with the Holy Spirit, successful outreach, sound teaching, purposeful compassion, leadership development, dynamic worship and inspired vision. The first mark of the authentic church is the Holy Spirit fills it.
Our Heavenly Father sends us the Holy Spirit to help us in times of need and when eeding to be comforted. He helps be an advocate of defense when things are done against us, or said that is not true.
Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father
I open myself to the Spirit’s work in my life. O Holy Spirit, work through me. Guide me into all truth, lead me deeper in faith, inspire my prayers and work forcefully through those prayers, and stretch me beyond my comforts to the places of ministry and witness. Come, Holy Spirit, come.
Our lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
