Lesson:
We can do this by studying the scriptures and words of the prophets, praying, living righteously, attending school or taking other courses, taking interest in the things around us, and seeking to understand our experiences. As we gain knowledge, we will learn to appreciate all that the Lord has provided for us.So the answer to the question, “Where do we get the knowledge about Our Heavenly Father”, is through our observation of Creation, the Scriptures and especially the life of the Son of Our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. The first is through prayer, as outlined in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask Our Heavenly Father, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” When faced with a need for wisdom in aaspectofour lives, our initial response should be to seek Our Heavenly Father in prayer.
Profound spiritual truth cannot simply be poured from one mind and heart to another. It takes faith and diligent effort. Precious truth comes a small piece at a time through faith, with great exertion, and at times wrenching struggles. The Lord intends it be that way so that we can mature and progress.
- Act in faith.
- Examine concepts and questions with an eternal perspective.
- Seek further understanding through divinely appointed sources.
Spiritual knowledge comes from spiritual source. “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which Our heavenly Father hath prepared for them that love him. “But Heavenly Father hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of Our Heavenly Father.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, I humbly ask for the gift of your wisdom and knowledge. Help me to see your truth and understand your ways. Open my heart and mind to receive your guidance and lead me on the path of righteousness.”
Our lord and savior we pray. of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
