Acts 24:16 (NKJV) “This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.
Corinthians 8:12 (NKJV) “But when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.”
Hebrews 10:22 (NKJV) “let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Lesson:
When we talk about our conscience, it can be best thought of as a voice from inside that helps direct us towards making the right or wrong choice. n the eyes of our Heavenly Father, a conscience is a gift, and it helps with figuring out what is the right or wrong way to go about something. It also helps add more light to our souls. It also will help with guiding in the direction that Our Heavenly Father’s plan is for us and our lives.
It bears witness to our actions and thoughts, prompting us to repent when we stray from God’s path.
While conscience is a valuable gift, it can be influenced by our own desires and the world around us, so it’s important to seek guidance from God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. A lot of study with the word of Our Heavenly Father is also essential because the conscience needs to be taught how to guide a person on a godly path in their lives.A good conscience brings peace and contentment, while a troubled conscience can lead to remorse and guilt. A biblical conscience is Where Our Heavenly Father an inner faculty, a “co- will give knowledge” or “knowledge together with oneself,” that allows individuals to discern right from wrong and judge their own actions, motives, and thoughts, often leading to a sense of obligation and potential guilt.
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before you seeking guidance for my conscience Help me to discern your will in all my thoughts and actions, and to always choose what is right and just. Strengthen my resolve to resist temptation and to live a life that honors your teachings. May my conscience be a beacon of truth, guiding me towards goodness and helping me to make choices that reflect your love. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
