Raynette K. Weiss Ministries and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invites you to this lesson on misperceptions on names. Wednesday June 15, 2022.

We have been hearing this in our country, not sure if it is happening much in other countries. People are judging people’s faith by thier last names and insisting on it. You should not do this, and during this lesson you will get the idea why. People get married by The Lord’s grace, and sometimes they will marry into a faith that is liked by some but not by others. People then assume because they have that name that they are that religion. Look, here is an example of what could happen by doing this. Someone marries into a jewish family, but under the jewish law, they do not have to convert to Judaism. There will be strong encouragement to convert, but do not have to convert to Judaism. Therefore their law states, if you are the wife and have a child, the child is the faith of the mother, and not the father. So, if a person is another faith than judaism and they are the child and they are a different faith than judaism the child is whatever faith the mother is, not the father’s. Here is another example, someone was planning something for this person, and because faith was involved, and the last name happened to be a jewish last name, it was assumed the person was jewish, and that person was not, the person was a very hard christian, and her son is also christian, but many times people think he is jewish. They both love thier names, so they will keep them. But people have to realize that because they marry in, or get adopted, it does not mean that they are jewish. The misconcpt of this needs to change, someone can get really hurt one day. People are out there that will harm jewish people because they do not like jewish people. Do not just assume someone is that; and remember, it is always good to plan things for people in a private area, not in a city street because you do not know if the person you are planning something for is walking down the street. It could be a very hurtful thing due to misconceptions. This could be happening to people, it is just not widely publicized. We are not just picking on one faith here, we are saying do not judge people by thier names. It is also stated by your Heavenly Father to not judge people. Unless you are picked by him to be a judge in a courtroom. That is a profession and thier job. Our Heavenly Father uses them to judge for earthly purposes only, not spiritual. You can think something of a person, but do not ever judge them.

A child born of a religiously Jewish father and non Jewish mother is not considered Jewish. This is the law on the books for normative Jewish law. Having said that, there are some subtleties to the situation which have practical ramifications.

As we stated above we have talked to Rabi’s about christian’s marrying into jewish families and they have stated that you do not have to convert to judaism, it is strongly encouraged, but it is not a have to.

Always find out if a person you do not know really is jewish before you plan anything for them.

Remember there is such a thing as jews for Jesus. This means some born jewish converted to christianity but are considered jews for Jesus.

STOP JUDGING ALL THE FACTS BEFORE YOU MAKE SURE THEY ARE THE TRUE FACTS.

Romans 12: 16-18
16
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate.

17
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

2 Corinthians 5:10
10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

He doesn’t say, “Don’t criticize others”. He says, “Before you criticize anyone else, take a long, hard look at yourself and your own moral failures. Don’t come down from on high as a holier-than-though know-it-all – come to them humbly, realizing that you are a sinner too.

Closing Prayer; We pray that the people reading this will put it into there hearts what is simple to do, and what they should not do. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
