A lesson on President’s Day in the biblical sense, as well as the normal sense.
President’s Day was originally to recognize all past U.S. Presidents, and now recognizes current Presidents. In the biblical sense, the below bible verses show that there is a biblical connection as well. These were some favorite verses of U.S. Presidents and other famous people.
A biblical fact and some history about Our Heavenly Father and the U.S. and the world.
Our Heavenly Father worked very close to the founding fathers of this country when it came to the constitution and the bill of rights. Did you know that your Heavenly Father originally help set up our Government? At one time biblical and earthly worked together. Sometime along the way they separated, because the churches did not want to be taken over if something happened within the Government, so they separated church and state. They used to have the pledge of allegiance in schools with God in it. They used to have a bible story for children a day, that did not use religion, just facts. When this was going on the U.S. was a lot calmer and so was the world. Just a bit of wisdom for you younger people that were not around at the time.
Romans 8:31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Matthew 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
7:29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Isaiah 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
John 8:32 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
Proverbs 3 5-65
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
What we are saying is, that you have to trust in your Heavenly Father, and if people tell a lot of lies about you, the truth will eventually come out, and prevail. Your Heavenly Father will protect you as long as you believe in him no matter what.
In fact, without your Heavenly Father, things go like they are today, rough and killing and no one can trust anyone, but when Our Heavenly Father is involved there is peace. Not saying there were not problems, but not like today. It would be much better if people have bible stories in the school and go back to the pledge of allegiance with Our Heavenly Father in it, then things would be better.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we pray that everyone will get something out of what they are reading today and realize what the real important part is with you. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
