Opening Hymn; Freedom by Bethel
came to set the captives free
You came to bring us liberty
My sin and my rejection
Your blood and my acceptance
Now I’m alive to bring You praise
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom
Every chain is broken through You, Jesus
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom
Whoa oh, oh, oh
Your blood has covered every sin
Your grace empowers me to win
My pain and my oppression met
Your blood and my acceptance
Now I’m alive to bring You praise
I’m free I’m free, I’m free to dance and sing
I’m free, I’m free, I’m free to shout it out
I’m free, I’m free, I’m free to dance and sing
I’m free, I’m free, I’m free to worship You
I’m gonna worship you.
Opening Prayer; Dear Lord,
There is no greater feeling of liberty than to experience freedom from sin and death that you provided for me through Jesus Christ. Today my heart and my soul are free to praise you. For this, I am very thankful.
On this Independence Day, I am reminded of all those who have sacrificed for my freedom, following the example of your Son, Jesus Christ. Let me not take my freedom, both physical and spiritual, for granted. May I always remember that a very high price was paid for my freedom. My freedom cost others their very lives.
Lord, today, bless those who have served and continue to give their lives for my freedom. With favor and bounty, meet their needs and watch over their families.
Dear Father, I am so thankful for this nation. For all the sacrifices others have made to build and defend this country, I am grateful. Thank you for the opportunities and freedoms we have in the United States of America. Help me never to take these blessings for granted.
Help me to live my life in a way that glorifies you, Lord. Give me the strength to be a blessing in someone’s life today, and grant me the opportunity to lead others into the freedom that can be found in knowing Jesus Christ.
In your name, I pray. Amen.
Sermon; All week you have been studying about the 4th of July and what it means to our heavenly father with some bible verses. Now it is important for you to know that it is important to Jesus and our heavenly father. Freedom is very important to our lord. His son died for us so we could have freedom, and have eternal life with our heavenly father and Jesus his son, and The Holy Spirit. Here are some bible verse that were not used in the lessons that says this type of thing. Please pay attention to them. It is important for your spiritual growth.
Acts 2:1-47 ESV
When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.
Acts 1:1-26 ESV
In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” .
Matthew 17:25-26 ESV
He said, “Yes.” And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tax? From their sons or from others?” And when he said, “From others,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free.
closing Hymn; Song of deliverance by Bob Fittz
Heaven and earth were created to praise You
And sing of Your glory
Every land has an offering of praise to bring
You have exchanged all our sorrow and ashes
For beauty and gladness, so we will sing
We’ll sing a song of deliverance
We’ll sing a song of deliverance
Songs of freedom, songs of deliverance
Praise and thanksgiving
Break the powers of bitterness
And freedom rings, when the people sing
So that all the redeemed
Sing out a song of deliverance
Father God, You have filled us with gladness
And new songs of praise, O Lord, You’re the One
For Whom all of our hearts give thanks
Come let us sing of His goodness and mercy
Poured out to redeem us, sing, let’s us sing
Sing out a song of deliverance
Sing out a song of deliverance
Closing prayer; Heavenly Father we hope that this sermon and this week talking about the 4th of July will help people that read this understand your love, joy and peace. Also that Jesus and the Holy Spirit help people to remember to ask for forgiveness when they make a mistake. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
For those who wish to become a child of our heavenly Lord, or strengthen thier faith, please pray the following prayer below.
Dear Heavenly Father, I want to be a part of your family. You said in Your Word that if I acknowledge that You raised Jesus from the dead, and that I accept Him as my Lord and Savior, I would be saved. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for forgiving me, saving me, and giving me eternal life with You. Amen!”
By saying this prayer, we believe you are born again.
Benediction; Go and tell everyone you talked to about what the 4th of July in the U.S. is and how important it is to our Lord and savior. Show them the verses and talk to them. They might be really surprised. Go in peace and joy and freedom.
Happy 4th of July to all of you in the U.S. from Raynette K. Weiss Ministries. Remember one thing, be safe this holiday and if you are drinking have a designated driver, the lord would want you to. Get a cab or other means of transportation if you drink. Have a very happy time with your family and friends. See you next time.
