Opening Hymn; Israelites by Desmond Dekker;
Verse 1]
Get up in the morning, slaving for bread, sir
So that every mouth can be fed
Poor, poor me, Israelites (Ah-ah)
Get up in the morning, slaving for bread, sir
So that every mouth can be fed
Poor, poor me, Israelites, sir
[Verse 2]
My wife and my kids, they pack up and a-leave me
Darling, she said, “I was yours to receive”
Poor, poor me, Israelites, hey
Shirt, them a-tear up, trousers are gone
I don’t want to end up like Bonnie and—
(Poor) Bonnie and Clyde, poor me, Israelites, hey
[Verse 3]
After a storm, there must be a calm
They catch me in the farm
You sound your alarm
Poor, poor me, Israelites, hey
[Instrumental]
[Verse 1]
I said, I get up in the morning, slaving for bread, sir
So that every mouth can be fed
Poor, poor me, Israelites, hey-hey
Wife and my kids, they pack up and a-leave me
Darling, she said, “I was yours to receive”
Poor, poor me, Israelites, hey
Sermon;
God had ordered the people of Israel to break down thier alters and etcetera. Moses told the Israelites that they must follow God and no one else. They get tested to make sure that they love him. Some of the Israelites had to be executed for going against God.
Moses also told the Israelites not to shave thier heads and other common things they do because they are under God, also not to eat certain things that they used to eat. Moses then explained to the Israelites that they had to pay each thing off within 7 years. Then they could except payments from foreigners. The Israelites were commanded to observe the month of Aviv. This was the time where they should celebrate the Passover and praise the Lord because He brought them out of Egypt. The whole purpose of this was to teach everyone in Israel the importance of obeying God. Just like he wishes his vessels to obey him and help lead everyone to follow him. It is important to believe in Our Heavenly Father or another name is God, but you must go through his son Jesus Christ. The below prayer that is listed helps with this and teaches the bible and to get born again unless God instructs you to do something different, but he will usually instruct this. Always follow God to have many blessings and have eternal life.
Closing Hymn; Teach us to trust you oh lord by the Mckammeys
It’s funny how we do it, compartmentalize
we plan for success and try to pass the pain right by
but it just doesn’t work that way
God has a different plan,
he works in ways we’d never see
beyond the scope of man.
(chorus)
When the journey takes a detour unexpectedly
and I try to except and understand what it all means
when I’m pressed to show the world
what I really believe, I will trust you Lord
when my heart begans to faint because
I see a life so fray,
and my soul cries out oh Lord how long
can I keep this at bay
in the fearest part of battle,
when my feet don’t want to stay
I will trust you Lord, I will trust you Lord
with my life.
I may not understand it, and even question why
what good could ever come from this
has even crossed my mind
but God’s teaching me to trust him more
as he works his will in me
I rest securely in his care
and surrender sure is sweet
repeat chorus

For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
