Opening Hymn; The song of Moses from Exodus 15:1;
Then a Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: “I will b sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! 2 The LORD is my strength and c song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and d I will praise Him; My e father’s God, and I f will exalt Him. 3 The LORD is a man of g war; The LORD is His h name.
4 i Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; j His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. 5 The depths have covered them; k They sank to the bottom like a stone. 6 “Your l right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces. 7 And in the greatness of Your m excellence You have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth n Your wrath; It o consumed them p like stubble. 8 And q with the blast of Your nostrils The waters were gathered together; r The floods stood upright like a heap; The depths 1 congealed in the heart of the sea. 9 s The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will t divide the spoil; My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, My hand shall destroy them.’ 10 You blew with Your wind, The sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
Sermon; The book of Numbers and New Years
The family of Aaron and Moses, particularly when God spoke to him at Mount Sinai. Aaron’s sons were Nadab, Abihu, Ithamar and Eleazar. They were all supposed to be priests, but Nadab and Abihu died before they were ordained by God. They did not have any sons. Ithamar and Eleazar served as priests throughout their father’s life.
God tells Moses to make two trumpets from hammered silver. Moses is to use them to gather the community together, as well as for signaling the various camps to set out. When both trumpets are sounded, the entire community is to come together at the tent. When one trumpet is sounded, the clan leaders are to gather before Moses. The order of the trumpet blasts will signal which tribes are to set out.The children of Israel along with the mixed multitude that came out with them fell lusting and complaining about the food they had in the wilderness. God burnt many of them with a fire in the wilderness in the uttermost parts of the camp. After they repented, they went back to complaining and murmuring about not having meat to eat as they had in Egypt.
We discussed about New Year’s as a new beginning as far as The Lord is concerned. Remember there is no direct of this in the bible. It is just indicated through bible verses. It really is just a new beginning for the earth down here as far as the earth is concerned. As far as spiritual is indicated it is a time to reflect on the past year in your life, and ask for any forgiveness and get yourselves cleaned up. It is a time to forget the old and bring in the new, and work towards having a very strong spiritual life with the Lord. It is very important and very strongly suggested that you get your life together and get a very strong hold with your Heavenly Father though Jesus Christ, your savior; so that you can have an eternal life with your Heavenly Father, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. Remember, Eternal life is forever if I were you I would want the light with joy, peace and fun, rather than the darkness with pain, and and heat and getting nothing to drink. Your Heavenly Father when he comes will pick up his children accordingly to how you acted towards him, Jesus, and his servants, and his vessels such as ministers, and people that he used to get to you to help you. It could have been anyone, not just a minister, maybe even a school teacher.
Closing Hymn; New beginnings by Luminate
There’s a life that I’ve been aiming for
To please the world I see and live by taking more
But I’m lost ’cause I always come up short
I guess living for yourself will leave you wanting more
So here’s to new beginnings and here’s to breaking free
Let’s chase a new horizon, chase who we’re meant to be
Close your eyes and listen ’cause love’s calling you and me
To see a new tomorrow, it’s who we’re meant to be
[Verse 2]
Here I am, I can’t do this anymore
Keep following the blind, there’s a sound I can’t ignore
And I know that I’ve got a chance to change
But I know the only way, I’ve got to run through the grave
[Chorus]
So here’s to new beginnings and here’s to breaking free
Let’s chase a new horizon, chase who we’re meant to be
Just close your eyes and listen ’cause love’s calling you and me
To see a new tomorrow, it’s who we’re meant to be
[Post-Chorus]
We’re meant to be
Closing prayer; Heavenly Father, thank You that You are our portion, our inheritance, and our great reward. Help us to give willingly and cheerfully make our offering to You, knowing that all that we have has come from You. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.
“Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
