Opening Hymn; Leviticus by Alexander Moss;
Maybe Moloch got me
Maybe I’ve been deceived
But it’s hard for me to follow
Hard to believe
That all those laws can really be kept
I can’t remember one
No less the next
But this is my land
I mustn’t be remiss
This is the land
Of Leviticus
I don’t enter the tents
I’m not a priest
I’m often unclean
From eating the beasts
I listen to Aaron and his sons, the holy ones
Don’t wanna be cut out
Exiled or shunned
Yeah this is my land
I must not make a fuss
This is the land
Of Leviticus
The blood of a bull
The death of a dove
These are the things
The Lord must love
‘Though I’ll sin again and again
A sacrifice
Will satisfy Him
He is the Lord
There’s nothing to discuss
He is the Lord
Of Leviticus
Opening Prayer;
Heavenly Father, our hearts are grieved to witness the degrading level to which mankind has plummeted due to sin. We repent of our part in the wicked ways of the world, whether by the sin commission or omission – whether by being enticed by the evil practices of sin or by not standing up for what is right when we had an opportunity. Forgive us Lord and in Your anger against the evil of this world.. we pray for Your mercy and grace on this generation and on those that are to come – in Jesus name we pray, AMEN.
Sermon;
Our Heavenly Father gives Instructions about how a priest is to conduct a guilt offering. God said that the priest must first sacrafice the animal presented for the guilt offering and then sprinkle its blood around the altar. Once all the sacrafice was complete the offering could be eaten. There are special ceremonies that are held for ordaining priests. Moses is commanded to perform the ceremony. Aron and his sons and all the people in Israel were invited. Nadab and Abihu; Aaron’s sons who were in the priesthood. One day a mistake was made by the two sons by bringing fire from elsewhere because they were going to burn incense. They were supposed to use fire from the alter. As a result of the opposite being done of the Heavenly Father’s commands fire from heaven was sent. People in Israel have a certain allowance when it comes to eating an animal. It has to be split into two big pieces. It is used as holy offerings as well.
Closing Hymn; King of Kings by Hillsong;
In the darkness
We were waiting
Without hope
Without light
Till from heaven
You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt
Praise the Father
Praise the Son
Praise the Spirit
Three in one
God of glory
Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross
For even in your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake you died
Praise the Father
Praise the Son
Praise the Spirit
Three in one
God of glory
Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings
And the morning that You rose
All of heaven held its breath
Till that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who’d come
To the Father are restored
And the church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel
Shall not faint
By His blood and in His name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me
Praise the Father
Praise the Son
Praise the Spirit
Three in one
Praise forever to the King of Kings.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us such an amazing understanding of Who You are, and what You desire from Your children. Thank You that Jesus was both the Sin Offering, Who paid the price for our sins… but also a Burnt Offering, by willingly giving His life to fulfil Your plans and purposes, for the redemption of the world. we pray that we may willingly present our body, in continual devotion and dedication to You, by giving up ourselves to Your service – this we ask in Jesus name. AMEN.

“Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
