Opening Hymn; The song of Moses by Paul Wilbur;
And they sing the song of Moses,
the servant of God,
and the song of the Lamb,
saying great, great and marvelous
are your works, Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are your ways, Lord
O King of the saints,
Who shall not fear you o Lord?
Hallelujah, oh hallelujah.
Opening Prayer; Heavenly Father, we pray that all the sermon will be pleasing to your eyes, ears, and glory. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Sermon;
Children of Israel singing praises to the Lord following their safe crossing of the Red Sea. The Israelites sang of triumph and glory as they continued marching toward Canaan. The children of Israel were out of Egypt and in the wilderness of Sin in between Sinai and Elim. They quickly forgot the mercies that God had shown them in the hands of Pharaoh and were now complaining to Moses and Aaron. They even exaggerated that it was much better in Egypt where they ate meat and bread freely and in comfort. Israelites exiting the place known as the Wilderness of Sin. They traveled across the land as the Lord had instructed them, but the people began complaining of their situation again to Moses. Moses’ father-in-law, Jethro, visits the Israelites. He brought Moses’ wife and their two sons along with him. They heard about the news of defeating Amalek and went out to visit Moses’ camp near the mountain of God. The people of Israel reached the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the third month after being free from Egypt. The Israelites set up camp in front of the mountain of Sinai. The Ten Commandments. The Lord had spoken the words to Moses which were the laws that the Israelites were to obey.
We hope you enjoyed this sermon, and you have a better understanding of that time.

From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay
From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky
