Raynette K. Weiss Ministries invites you to this series on Sin. Friday October 29, 2021 Sins 400 to 432.

400. Not submitting to man’s laws. Romans 13:2-3; 2
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 1Peter 2:13-15;13
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

14
Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15
For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

401. Abstaining from eating meat. 1 Timothy 4:1-4; 1
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

402. Not being merciful Colossians 3:12;12
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Luke 6:36; 36
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

403. Following the desires of the mind. Ephesians 2:3;Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

404. Setting your mind on the things of the earth. Colossians 3:2;2
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

405. Double-minded James 4:7-10;7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. 1:8; 8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

406. Mischief Proverbs 6:16-18;16
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, Psalm 28:3 Feet that swiftly run to mischief Proverbs 6:18;18
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief
.

407. Mockers Jude 18; 18
How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

408. Murmuring Philippians 2:14;14
Do all things without murmurings and disputings: Jude 16; 16
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.

409. Murmuring about just wages Matthew 20:11;11
And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

410. Murmuring among yourselves John 6:43;43
Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.

411. Naughty Proverbs 6:12; 12
A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth. James 1:21;21
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

412. Not keeping oaths Numbers 30:2-16; 2
If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
3
If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s house in her youth;
4
And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.
5
But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
6
And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;

7
And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
8
But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her.
9
But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.
10
And if she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;
11
And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
12
But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her.
13
Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
14
But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
15
But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.
16
These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father’s house.

413. Not obeying God’s word Hebrews 5:9; 9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Acts 5:32;32
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

414. Not obeying man’s laws 1 Peter 2:13-15;13
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14
Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15
For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

415. Obeying wrong thoughts rather than God. Genesis 3:12,13;12
And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13
And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

416. Observing day, months, times Galatians 4:10;10
Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

417. Obstinate (stubborn) Romans 10:21 NIV;21
But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

418. Studying the occult Deuteronomy 18:9-14; 9
When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11
Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12
For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13
Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
14
For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do. Leviticus 20:6; 6
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. Isaiah 8:19, 19
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?Isaiah 47:13,14; 13
Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
14
Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

419. Offending Matthew 13:41; 41
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; James 3:2; 2
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

420. Offending a little one Matthew 18:6; 6
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Mark 9:42; 42
And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. Luke 17:2; 2
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 1 Corinthians 8:9-13; 9
But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your’s become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
10
For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
11
And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
12
But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.
13
Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. Romans 14:20-21; 20
For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21
It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

421. Being offended because of Jesus Luke 7:23; 23
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. Mark 14:27,29; 27
And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. 29
But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I. Mark 4:17; 17
And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. Matthew 26:33; 33
Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended. Matthew 24:10;10
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

422. Not keeping a vow-freewill offering. Deuteronomy 23:21-23; 21
When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
22
But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
23
That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

423. Omitting judgment, mercy, faith, Matthew 23:23; 23
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

424. Oppressing the widow or fatherless child. Exodus 22:22-24; 22
Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.
23
If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;
24
And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

425. Following ordinances, touch, taste, handle. Colossians Col 2:20,21; 20
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21
(Touch not; taste not; handle not;

426. REVELLINGS (ORGIES) Gal 5:21;21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

427. OVERINDULGING (SURFEITING) Lk 21:34; 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

428. PARTIALITY Ja 2:1-5; 1

2 brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3
And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4
Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

429. NOT BEING PATIENT Lk 21:19;19
In your patience possess ye your souls. 1 Tim 3:3; 3
Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 2 Tim 2:24; 24
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, Heb 10:36; 36
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Ja 5:8; 8
Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth
nigh.

430. NOT BEING PERFECT Mt 5:48; 48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Gen 17:1; 1
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 1 Ki 8:61; 61
Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. 2 Cor 13:11;11
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

431. CAUSING A WEAK BROTHER TO PERISH 1 Cor 8:11,12;11
And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
12
But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

432.Persecuting 2 Timothy 1:13
Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief
.

Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father, thank that You that You are our God and our Saviour and that You sent the Lord Jesus into the world to die as our Kinsman-Redeemer Who gave His life to redeem the world so that by faith in Him we have been saved. Thank You for the work of the Holy Spirit, within our hearts. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is believe you are a sinner, that Christ died for your sins, and ask His forgiveness. Then turn from your sins—that’s called repentance. Jesus Christ knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, your honesty. We suggest praying the following prayer to accept Christ as your Savior:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
