Raynette K. Weiss Ministries invites you to this Sermon for Sunday, January 16, 2022.

We recognize Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We will put some verses down below but I want to remind the adults that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was actually a Minister and then became a civil rights leader. There are some verse about civil rights. We will past them for you to read.

Luther King Jr. helped organize the 1963 March on Washington, DC, where he delivered his famous I Have a Dream speech, in which he included several biblical references:
Amos 5:24 (NIV): “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!”
Isaiah 40:4-5 (KJV): “Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain….”
Psalm 30:5 (NIV): “…weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
Galatians 3:28 (NIV): “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Is an important person in our history as you know, and he always wanted what was right for people. He would not stand for corruption that was there. This is our way of remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Opening Hymn; Take my hand precious lord lead me home by Mahalia Jackson; Hymn that inspired Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I’m tired, I’m weak, I’m lone
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When my way grows drear precious Lord linger near
When my light is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

When the darkness appears and the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river I stand
Guide my feet, hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I’m tired, I’m weak, I’m lone
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home

Sermon;
Our Heavenly Father let Aaron know that he and all his family are responsible for anything done wrong with thier ministry. Aaron was also instructed to have his people of the Levites tribe help him with the affairs of his ministry.
Our Heavenly Father preparing Aaron to die and transferring the High priest from Aaron to his son Eleazar. Israel mourned for Aaron for thirty days. There are several events that ensue in this chapter. First, the Israelites are attacked by Canaanite’s King of Arad, but God listens to his people and delivers Canaanites in their hands. The children of Israel are now camped in the Moab plain by the Jordan River. The Israelites had just defeated the Amorites and Moab was afraid of them. The King of the Moabites sends messengers to Balaam, a sorcerer, to ask that Balaam curse the Israelites, because they were many. Balaam tells Balak to build him seven altars and to prepare seven rams and seven bulls for him. Balak did as he was instructed. They offered one ram and bull on each altar. Balaam then told Balak to stay next to his offering while Balaam went somewhere. He said that God might meet with him. He told Balak that he would reveal whatever God told him.
Closing Hymn; Song of Moses by Aaron Keyes;
Oh the Lord, our strength and song, highest praise to him belongs
Christ the Lord, the Conquering King, Your Name we raise, Your triumphs sing
Praise the Lord, our Mighty Warrior
Praise the Lord, the Glorious One
By his hand we stand in victory,
By his Name we overcome
Though the storms of hell pursue, In darkest night we worship You
You divide the raging sea, From death to life You safely lead
All the saints and angels bow, Hosts of heaven crying out
Glory Glory to the King, You reign for all eternity
BRIDGE
The Lord shall reign forever and ever
The Lord shall reign forever and ever
