Matthew 21:12-17; 12
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, Ps 118:25

And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? Ps 8:2

And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

Luke 19:45-48 45

The verses above means this: Jesus Cleanses the Temple 45 And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold, 46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’
(Mark 11:11),And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
The verse above means this; Seeing at a distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if perhaps He would find anything on it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.

And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. Isa 56:7 Jer 7:11 Matt 21:13 Luke 19:46

And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
The verses above means this; Any vessel – Any vessel used in cooking, or connected with the sale of their articles of merchandise. Mark 11:18 All the people were astonished – He became popular among them. The Pharisees saw that their authority was lessened or destroyed.
John 11:1-45
1
Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
2
(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
3
Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4
When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
5
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
6
When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
7
Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
8
His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
9
Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
10
But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
11
These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12
Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13
Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14
Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
15
And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
16
Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.
17
Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.
18
Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:

And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
20
Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
21
Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
22
But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
23
Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24
Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
27
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
28
And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
29
As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
30
Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
31
The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.
32
Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
33
When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.
34
And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
35
Jesus wept.
36
Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
37
And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
38
Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
39
Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40
Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42
And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44
And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
45
Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
The verses above means this; In this chapter, which lies at the rhetorical and theological center of the gospel of John, we have yet another conversation of Jesus with a couple of women, two sisters, Mary and Martha. Psalm 50:1-23
1
The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
2
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
3
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
4
He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
5
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
6
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
7
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.
8
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.

When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
20
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.
21
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
23
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
The verses above means this: announces an appearance of God to his people “out of Zion,” and a pronouncement of judgment upon them, which all heaven (Psalms 50:4) and earth (Psalms 50:1) are called upon to witness.
Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
The verse above means this; As has been noted, a delegation of heretical teachers made their way to the province of Galatia and were disrupting the churches with their doctrine.
Romans 14:1-23
1
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2
For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3
Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4
Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6
He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
9
For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Isa 45:23

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
14
I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15
But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16
Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18
For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20
For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21
It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22
Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23
And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
The verses above means this;
tackles an issue as relevant for the modern church as it was for Roman believers in Paul’s era. Many decisions in the Christian life don’t come with absolute, yes-or-no, one-size-fits-all answers. On major issues, God’s Word is clear. But on less important subjects, Christians might find it necessary to agree to disagree. How to live out that kind of unity is the focus of Paul’s comments here.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we pray this series of Holy week gets your children to understand each day of Holy Week, and understand the importance of what you are trying to tell them in the chapters and verses. We ask that the Holy Spirit and Jesus help them figure it out if they do not understand it. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
