- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
To take the name of God in vain, to use the name of God with levity or profaneness.
Leviticus 19:12 – And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
Exodus 20:7 – Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
- Keep the Sabbath day holy.
The Sabbath is for rest, and to do personal errands, or what have you. It was Saturday years ago, but changed now to Sunday for Christians.
Deuteronomy 5:12 Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the LORD your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work.
Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”“
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for the day of Sabbath, depending on which day it is depending on what group it is, and we hope that all the readers of this 5 day series will enjoy this and learn from it and hopefully the world will be a better place until you come. We pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
