Money itself is not evil, but acts you do with it would be, such as things that are not of your Heavenly Father, and things he would not approve of you using the money for.
Matthew, whose name means “gift of the Lord,” was a tax collector who left his work to follow Jesus (9:9-13). In Mark and Luke he is called by his other name, Levi. Date and Place of Writing. Matthew began following Jesus partway through Jesus’s journeys, and his gospel account includes the story of his own call to become a disciple. Mark was an African native of Jewish parents who belonged to the Levites’ tribe. His family lived in Cyrenaica until they were attacked by some barbarians, and lost their property. Consequently, they moved to Jerusalem with their child John Mark (Acts 12:12, 25; 15:37). Apparently, he was given a good education and became conversant. Luke was a physician who left his trade to pursue Jesus Christ. So, apostle Luke’s occupation was one of a doctor. Accompanying apostle Paul in his journeys, Appostle Luke most probably treated his “thorn in the flesh”, given to Appostle Paul by God so that he wouldn’t exalt himself above measure.John the Apostle is traditionally believed to be one of two disciples (the other being Andrew) recounted in John 1:35-39, who upon hearing the Baptist point out Jesus as the “Lamb of God,” followed Jesus and spent the day with him.
The Apostle John (also known as Saint John) was one of Jesus Christ’s 12 disciples, and a prominent leader in the early Christian church. Along with James and Peter, John was one of Jesus’ closest confidants, so he appears in more biblical accounts than the other disciples. The Apostle James was the brother of the Apostle John and James was the first apostle martyred, probably around 44 AD. James was in the so-called circle of honor among the apostles with Peter and John and they were privileged to be eyewitnesses of the Transfiguration (Matt 17:1-9). They were also among the privileged few apostles that witnessed Jairus’ daughter being raised from the dead (Mark 5:37) and were with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matt 26:36-37) on the night that Jesus was betrayed and arrested.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
