It is a wonderful thing to have a heavenly Father. He is someone who is taking care of us in all the aspects of our lives.
The New Testament teaches us that the body of Christ is a family. This means if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, God the Father becomes your own heavenly Father.
There are promises and benefits offered to those who are children of God by faith.
God the Father answers prayer. Jesus talked about this in Luke chapter 11. He said, “What father among you, if his son asks for[ a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; 12 or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If then (you earthly fathers) know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
God the Father faithfully meets all our needs. He desires us to have good things. “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32) Paul wrote to the church: “Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?” (Rom. 8:32)
God the Father loves His children. “Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them…” (John 14:21)
The motive that caused God to design His great plan of salvation is described clearly. Our salvation was secured in the sacrificial gift of His Son “because of the great love with which he loved us.” (Eph. 2:4)
One of the greatest statements in all the bible is this very simple truth: God is love. (1 John 4:8) And the wonder of it all is: He loves you!
Luke: 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13; If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us.
1 John 4:8 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for your word and teaching us how to walk with you through faith in your son Jesus. We pray that all who read this story get an understanding of how important it is to have a good walk with you. We pray that Jesus and the Holy Spirit help them understand this. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
For those who wish to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or wish to be stronger in his eyes, please say the following prayer below.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
