Opening Hymn: Counting your blessings by Hymnial.net.

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,

When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,

Count your many blessings name them one by one,

And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. Count your blessings, name them one by one;

Count your blessings, see what God hath done;

Count your blessings, name them one by one,

    And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

2

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?

Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?

Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,

And you will be singing as the days go by.

3

When you look at others with their lands and gold,

Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold.

Count your many blessings, money cannot buy

Your reward in heaven, nor your Lord on high.

4

So amid the conflict, whether great or small,

Do not be discouraged, God is over all;

Count your many blessings, angels will attend,

Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end

Sermon:

The number 2 highlights the idea of division, as seen in the separation of light and darkness during .creation. The number 2 conveys the meaning of a union, division or the verification of facts by witnesses. A man and woman, though two, are made one in marriage.

The number three is often used to highlight something that is complete, whole, or perfect. The Trinity is a prime example of this, with God being one being in three persons.
Fulfillment on the Third Day:
Many significant events in the Bible, particularly in Jesus’ life, occur on the third day, signifying divine fulfillment and victory. Examples include Jesus’ resurrection and the binding of Isaac.

The number 4 is intrinsically tied to the creation narrative, with God creating the physical world on the fourth day. This includes the cardinal directions (North, South, 4 alemphasizes God’s desire for order and structure, particularly in worship and service. The Levites in Numbers 4 were assigned specific duties within the tabernacle, demonstrating the importance of assigned roles and accountability.
In summary, the number 4 in the Bible is a powerful symbol of God’s creative power, the completeness of His plan, and the importance of order and structure in His design.

The number 5 is frequently tied to God’s grace and kindness towards humanity. This is seen in instances like the five books of the Torah, which reveal God’s will, and the fivefold ministry of Jesus. The addition of the fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet (Hei) to Abram’s name to create Abraham is also significant, marking a transformation through grace. times more food and clothing, symbolizing grace and favor.
The fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, Hei, is associated with the number 5. It signifies “to look” or “to behold,” and is linked to God’s revelation and grace.
The five loaves of bread used to feed the 5,000. The five offerings in the Old Testament, each pointing to a different aspect of Christ’s sacrifice.

Closing Hymn:The lord bless you and keep you by Peter C. Lukin:

The Lord bless you and keep you

The Lord lift His countenance upon you,

And give you peace, and give you peace;

The Lord make His face to shine upon you,

And be gracious, and be gracious;

The Lord be gracious, gracious unto you.

Closing Prayer: “Heavenly Father, I pray that you would bless my family, my work, and my nation with your wisdom and peace. Guide us in the way we should go. Protect us from harm and grant us discerning spirits to recognize what is good and what is evil. May your face be turned towards us, and may our hearts be turned towards you. Be gracious to us, pouring out your love and mercy. May we experience your peace in every area of our lives, and may your favor overshadow us. In Jesus’ name

  • Our lord and savior we pray. Please forgive me of my sins against you, please come into my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for Saving me.
