Isaiah 54:17
“No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me,” declares that no weapon or accusation brought against God’s faithful people will succeed, assuring them of ultimate victory and protection from any adversary, with their righteousness coming solely from God himself; essentially signifying that despite facing opposition, believers will be vindicated and their enemies will be defeated.
The sovereign God who created everything also has the power to protect. He can promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Whatever weapon is raised against God’s people is destined to be destroyed. Out of this new affirmation of love and unity comes the promise of verse 17: “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
Our Heavenly Father asserts His sovereignty even over circumstances and adversities that threaten His people. The imagery of God creating both the weapons and the blacksmiths illustrates His absolute control over human affairs.
In saying that “no weapon formed against you shall prosper,” God promises the people of Jerusalem that no enemy will be able to produce successful weapons.
It is a promise of the teaching and gifts of the Holy Spirit. All that are taught of God are taught to love one another.
Closing Prayer: Lord, I want to thank You that no weapon forged in the spirit or the the physical, against us, shall prosper. Lord, destroy any weapon created for our destruction. Cripple the plots of the enemy.
Lord help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Hol ySpirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
