Prayer is communication with God. We do this by praising Him, confessing our sin before Him, thanking Him and asking Him for our needs and desires. Prayer is communion with our Creator. When we pray, we engage in loving fellowship with the Maker of heaven and earth.
Prayer can foster a sense of connection. Prayer can reduce feelings of isolation, anxiety and fear as well. But there are other examples of isolation in scripture. Best known among these is Jesus’s isolation for forty days in the desert (Matthew 4:1-11). Here isolation describes courage and endurance. It is an action associated with an obedience that overcomes that which is harmful and destructive.
It’s simply the result of uncertainty, and the bible teaches the idea that uncertainty is, essentially, distrust with the plan of God. It’s not that anxiety is a sin, but that anxiety is the act of experiencing fears and worries that one wouldn’t experience if they truly follow and show commitment to God. “Fear” is the natural consequence of sin (Genesis 3:10; 4:13,14; Proverbs 28:1); it comes as a punishment (Deuteronomy 28:25,28). The fear of man and of evils are dangers to be avoided, from which the fear of God delivers (Numbers 14:9; 21:34; Psalms 23:4; 31:14, etc.). If you pray to Our Heavenly Father he will deliver you from fear. It may take a long time, but it will happen. Everything is in Our Heavenly Father’s time. It is better to pray to Our Heavenly Father and tell him all your concerns, and leave all your concerns with him and not think about them If you leave your concerns with Our Heavenly Father you will have a lot of peace. Just remember you do not belong to the earth, you belong to Our Heavenly Father. It is hard to do sometimes, we are all guilty of this.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for your ways of communication with us. We hope everyone understands what we talked about in this lesson. If they do not we pray that the Holy Spirit will help them understand.
Prayer of Salvation: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
