Bible verses;
Leviticus 9:24Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.
Psalm 21:8-9 21:8 Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies; your right hand will seize your foes.
21:9 When you appear for battle, you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace. The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath, and his fire will consume them.
Hebrews 12:5-11
12:5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, My son, do not make light of the Lords discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
12:6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.
12:7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?
12:8 If you are not disciplined and everyone undergoes discipline then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.
12:9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!
12:10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.
12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Isaiah 4:4 The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.
Lesson
TheBible often describes the presence and glory of The Heavenly Father as a fire. The fire of the Holy Spirit creates a burning passion that moves you forward, aligning you with his will. In Hebrews, it reads, “For our God is a consuming fire.
In Acts, the tongues of fire represent the presence of God the Holy Spirit. This fulfills John the Baptist’s prophecy that the Messiah would baptize “with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Matthew 3:11-12). The Heavenly Father Himself lit the fire. And because of this, it became holy fire, as though the Hand of Our Heavenly Father touched it. It was never to be allowed to go out; it had to be fed constantly to keep it from going out. The fire of Our Heavenly Father was always with them continuously in the pillar of fire above and below. By depicting the Holy Spirit as fire, the Scriptures teach us about the effects that he has on the lives of believers. Like fire, the Holy Spirit transforms us, purifies us, and sets us aflame with the love of Our Heavenly Father. Fire represents the Holy Spirit’s righteous nature. It speaks to His purity, judgment, and His refining presence. Thus, fire can be symbolic of the Holy Spirit. The anointing of fire can manifest anytime there is ministry work to be done. A person that has found this fire has found the gold of the gold mine so to speak. It is the power of endowment for church ministry that a person has been introduced unto; it is the endowment of service.
The fire, as well as the baptism with the Holy Spirit speak of cleansing and purification (see Isaiah 4:4). John is saying that the Messiah will give his Holy Spirit to his true people and so change their hearts and lives. Everyone understands the symbol of fire. Fire is power. God uses FIRE to chasten us when we stray away from him (Heb. 12:5-11); and then Our Heavenly Father uses fire to keep us on our knees, to bring us to a place in him where He can use us for His glory. The fire, as well as the baptism with the Holy Spirit speak of cleansing and purification (see Isaiah 4:4). John is saying that the Messiah will give his Holy Spirit to his true people and so change their hearts and lives. Everyone understands the symbol of fire. Fire is power. The Holy Light appears only by the The Holy Light (or Holy Fire) is not only distributed by the Patriarch, but operates also by itself.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for your word today and we pray that all who read this understand it and learn that your Holy fire is good for us. We pray that the Holy Spirit helps them understand. In the name of Our Lord and savior we pray.
Prayer of Salvation: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
