Matthew 21:19 21:19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, May you never bear fruit again! Immediately the tree withered.
21:20 When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. How did the fig tree wither so quickly? they asked.
21:21 Jesus replied, Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, and it will be done.
21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
Mark 11:20-25
11:20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.
11:21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!
11:22 Have faith in God, Jesus answered.
11:23 Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
Mark 11:23 Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
Holy Monday is the second day of Holy Week, right after Palm Sunday. It is the second day that Jesus was in Jerusalem, and the Bible records him giving a variety of teachings and debating the religious leaders over Holy Monday and the next day (Holy Tuesday). It commemorates Jesus’s life, faith, and the events leading up to his death and eventual resurrection. According to the Bible, Holy Monday is the day after Jesus was greeted with palm leaves and the day before Judas decided to betray him.
For Christians, the holiday is the beginning of the Holy Week preparation, which includes reading the Bible and reflecting on the Scripture. For others, it’s the time to get a much-deserved break. The origin of Holy Monday can be traced back to when Lent was founded. During the third century, only Good Friday and Holy Saturday were observed and considered holy days. Later on, Holy Wednesday was added to the observance as this was the day when Judas betrayed Jesus. It was on Holy Monday when Jesus Christ walked to Jerusalem from Bethany. During his journey, he saw a fruitless fig tree. He cast a curse on this tree until it withered and bore fruits. He immediately told his disciples that if they had enough faith, they could make the tree wither and even make the mountains move. On this day, he also cleaned the temple and responded to the authorities for his questioning. The key verses in the Bible that established Holy Monday were Matthew 21:19 to 22, Mark 11:20 to 25, Matthew 21:20 to 22, and Mark 11:23. Up above you will find all these verses. For those that do not have a bible they are put in the lessons. Remember, we go all over the world. Some countries are not allowed to have bibles. But since this ministry has no talking, the other countries not allowed to have bibles can receive it by us. So you may want to think before you try anything with this ministry because there are people out there not as fortunate, and need to be able to receive the word of Our Heavenly Father. This is one way Our Heavenly Father is using us to help people all over the world.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for all the knowledge about Holy Monday. Help us to draw closer to you by reading the bible and reflecting on what has happened in our lives and praying and asking for forgiveness. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
Some people call this the sinners prayer listed below. It is used to become a child of Our Heavenly Father, and it is also used for people to make thier faith stronger.
Prayer for salvation; Lord Jesus; Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.Take
complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
