Lesson:
The Bible contains the sacred scriptures of Judaism and Christianity and has long been the most available, familiar, and dependable source and arbiter of intellectual, moral, and spiritual ideals in the West. One of the main uses of the Bible is as a source of authority. This means that Christians can use the Bible as a guidebook to provide advice and guidance during different dilemmas they may face in life. There are many rules and parables in the Bible which can tell Christians what they should do in certain situations. As the Bible is classed as the Word of God, some of the teachings within it are classed as absolute law. An absolute law is one that must be followed at all times, such as the Ten Commandments. Because these are laws set down by God, then they must be obeyed. Some Christians today are known as liberal Christians. This means they have a less literal interpretation of the Bible, and might not follow all laws in an absolute way. Many, however, still do.The Bible is used by Christians to give them guidance about how they can live their their lives in the way God would want them to. There is guidance in the Bible on many areas of life and Christians will turn to this advice when they are faced with a dilemma.Another main use of the Bible is for it to be read during worship services and ceremonies. Passages from the Bible are read and discussed during regular worship services where the Pastor will read a certain passage of the Bible, this passage will often have some meaning, for example if there has been a disaster in the world the pastor may choose to read a passage about a Christian’s duty to help and pray for others.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for your word today and helping us understand it. We also thank you for teaching a lot of people while your son was down here on earth. We especially thank your son for dying on the cross, so one day we will be in Heaven. In the name of Our lord savior we pray.
This prayer below is also called the sinners prayer, and it gets people to become a child of Our Heavenly Father or strengthens thier faith within him whenever they are already a child of Our Heavenly Father
Prayer for salvation; Lord Jesus; Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.Take
complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
