Opening Hymn: Glorious day, living he loved me by casting crowns;
One day when Heaven was filled with His praises
One day when sin was as black as could be
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin
Dwelt among men, my example is He
Word became flesh and the light shined among us
His glory revealed
Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me
Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now is ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again
Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
One day the trumpet will sound for His coming
One day the skies with His glories will shine
Wonderful day, my Beloved One bringing
My Savior Jesus is mine
Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
Glorious day
Oh glorious day
Sermon
Today is Easter, the day that Jesus rose early in the morning from the dead. The Holy Spirit always lives within us. Jesus died for our sins and he is our lord and savior for those who are christian. This is so we might go to Heaven to be with him. We should be very thankful that he sacrificed his own life so we can have glory within the lord. All sins are now forgiven that his children has done or will do. As long as you believe in Jesus as your lord and savior.
Also this week we learned about Holy Week what it means to Our Heavenly Father. For Christians, the holiday of Holy Monday is the beginning of the Holy Week preparation, which includes reading the Bible and reflecting on the Scripture. For others, it’s the time to get a much-deserved break. The origin of Holy Monday can be traced back to when Lent was founded. On this day, Jesus also cleaned the temple and responded to the authorities for his questioning. Holy Tuesdaycommemorates the day Jesus returned to Jerusalem from Bethany, passing a barren fig tree on the way, which he used as an example to teach his disciples.” Holy Tuesday is when different challenges were given to Jesus by the pharacies and sadduces. Some included marriage in heaven, paying taxes to Caesar, and the source of His authority..Judas Iscariot’s intent to betray Jesus, was to take place on Holy Wednesday, the day is sometimes called “Spy Wednesday”. The word spy, as used in the term, means “ambush, ambuscade, snare”. Additionally, among the disciples, Judas clandestinely was a spy and Wednesday was the day he chose to betray Christ. Jesus Christ, when Jesus established the saccrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest and crucifixion. It also commemorates His institution of the priesthood. The holy day falls on the Thursday before Easter and is part of Holy Week. Jesus celebrated the dinner as a Passover feast. Christ would fulfill His role as the Christian victim of the Passover for all to be saved by His final sacrifice. We can celebrate on Good Friday because Christ’s death was a sacrifice so that we could receive the gift of eternal life. The Bible tells us that Jesus bore our sins, shame, and burden on the cross.. Many Christians acknowledge Holy Saturday, the seventh and final day of Holy Week, as the day on which Jesus “rested” from His work of bestowing redemption to mankind. As Jesus died, He called out, “It is finished!
Closing hymn; The passion by Hillsong worship;
The passion of our Saviour
The mercy of our God
The cross that leaves no question
Of the measure of His love
CHORUS:
Our chains are gone
Our debt is paid
The cross has overthrown the grave
For Jesus’ blood that sets us free
Means death to death
And life for me
VERSE 2:
The Innocent judged guilty
While the guilty one walks free
Death would be His portion
And our portion liberty
BRIDGE:
I give my whole life
To honour this love
By the Lamb who was slain
I’m forgiven
The sinner’s Saviour
Crown Him forever
For the Lamb who was slain
He is risen
Closing Prayer;Heavenly Father we thank you for all the information about Holy week and being able to teach about it, and all you did for us all these years. This prayer below is also called the sinners prayer, and it gets people to
