Raynette K. Weiss Ministries run by Our Lord and on earth by Rev. Raynette K. Weiss and Assistant Minister Jessie K. Weiss invite you to a Sunday service for Sunday November 5, 2023.

Opening Hymn: Blessed feast of Blessed Martyrs; by John M. Neale;

1. Blessed feasts of blessed martyrs,

Holy women, holy men,

With our love and admiration,

Greet we your return again.

Worthy deeds they wrought, and wonders,

Worthy of the name they bore;

We, with joyful praise and singing,

Honor them for evermore.

2 Faith prevailing, hope unfailing,

Loving Christ with single heart,

Thus they, glorious and victorious,

Bravely bore the martyr’s part,

By contempt of ev’ry anguish,

By unyielding battle done;

Victors at the last, they triumph,

With the host of angels one.

3 Therefore, all that reign in glory,

Faithful heirs with Christ on high,

Join to ours your supplication

When before Christ we draw nigh,

Praying that, this life completed,

All its fleeting moments past,

By Christ’s grace we may be worthy

Of eternal bliss at last.

Sermon:

The festival of lights is a day used as a way to get the dark to come to the light, and it gives people that are not a child of Our Heavenly Father chance to repent of any sins and accept Jesus into thier lives. It is a very happy occasion. It also commemorates Jesus at the Temple of Jerusalem, referring to him as the light of the people of Israel. On this day, Christians take candles to be blessed in church, and many people that are not a child of Our Heavenly Father will become.

We also learned about All Hallow’s Eve. On this day many christians honor those who had had went to the spirit realm and hopefully ended up in heaven. They called this new  celebration All-hallowmas or All-hallows, meaning All Saints. It used to be something very bad up until the 800’s. It has been very commercialized over the years as well, and that is how it got to being called Halloween. Our Heavenly Father let people at one time dress up to scare away a group that the adversary would use called druids. Christians have redeemed this ancient time for grief and fear and turned into a time for remembrance and hope. All saints day is a day for remembering all the saints of the church, both known and unknown, who have attained heaven. It is celebrated on November 1. All souls’s day is dedicated to prayer and remembrance. Worship services are commonly held, and many people visit and sometimes decorate the graves of loved ones. It is a day for people to remember thier loved ones that have moved on to the spirit realm.  The period from October 31 to November 2 (All Souls’ Day) is sometimes known as Allhallowtide.

This is a very christian time of the year, and we wish people would recognize it, and forget about the commercialism of it. It is good and fun to have parties, Our Heavenly Father loves to see this, but not things scary or against him. It is more being assumed that Jude was written around when 2 Peter came about, which was between 64-66AD. Jude tried to get a message across to people about how people that teach false information need to be accountable for thier actions and at times should be removed from the churches. Many of the people in the churches that was being observed and wrote about in Jude seemed to want to please themselves and did not care to listen to any athority. Jude made examples of what would happen in instances like this by writing about Cain doing something bad to his brother and the punishment of sin on the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Judewanted to encourage Christians to stand firm in the faith and fight for the truth. But more than simply raising awareness, Jude thought it important that believers stand against those working against Jesus Christ.

Closing Hymn: All the way my savior leads me by Fanny Crosby;

1 All the way my Savior leads me–

What have I to ask beside?

Can I doubt His tender mercy,

Who through life has been my guide?

Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,

Here by faith in Him to dwell!

For I know, whate’er befall me,

Jesus doeth all things well;

For I know, whate’er befall me,

Jesus doeth all things well.

2 All the way my Savior leads me–

Cheers each winding path I tread,

Gives me grace for ev’ry trial,

Feeds me with the living bread.

Though my weary steps may falter

And my soul athirst may be,

Gushing from the rock before me,

Lo! a spring of joy I see;

Gushing from the rock before me,

Lo! A spring of joy I see.

3 All the way my Savior leads me–

Oh, the fullness of His love!

Perfect rest to me is promised

In my Father’s house above.

When my spirit, clothed immortal,

Wings its flight to realms of day,

This my song through endless ages:

Jesus led me all the way;

This my song through endless ages:

Jesus led me all the way.

Closing Prayer;

Heavenly Father, You have given the saints in heaven eternal happiness and they now live in the fullness of your glory. Because of their holy love for you, they also care about us and our family, our friends, our church, and our neighbors. Thank you for the gift of their friendship and the witness of their holy lives. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Prayer of Salvation to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, we confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
