Revelation 1:19, “Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.”
Revelation 13:16-17, “He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.”
Revelation 19:11, “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.”
Revelation 20:11, “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.”
Revelation 21:1, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.”
The book of Revelation has many images that show Jesus’ return to Earth as the ultimate King, where he will change the lives his people and bring in the new creation. This help encourage every generation of God’s people to remain faithful in the time of persecution and hardship.
It lets us see a small overview heaven and all of the blessings and rewards awaiting people who keep their walk right with Our Heavenly Father. Revelation discusses the great tribulation with all the rough roads and trials that will be faced and a judgement that all who do not believe in Jesus will face for eternity. The book points out the fall of Satan and the doom he and his angels headed towards. We are shown the jobs of all creatures and angels of heaven and the promises that the saints that will live forever with Jesus in the New Jerusalem. Like John, we find it hard to describe what we read in the book of Revelation.
The message of the Book of Revelation is a strong force to times like these—to all times past, present, and future: be strong, be prepared, and be willing to suffer, realizing that no matter how powerful the adversary may be, Jesus is the victor. Regardless what you think is happening, this is what is really happening. Don’t think that you can sit on the fence; you must choose a side. Satan owns the fence and he is coming for you; he will say, “You belong to me.”Choose sides. I urge you to choose Christ with courage. Don’t look back.
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for your word in the book of Revelation. We pray for all those who read this lesson that they learn and enjoy it. We also pray that the message helps bring many more children to you, and all who are your children much stronger. In Jesus name we pray.
Prayer of Salvation to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray.
