Matthew 6:32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
Hebrews 4:16; The Father is our provider and protector. He promises to supply all that we need and protect us from the evil one.
Psalm 116:17I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the Lord.
Daniel 2:23 I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.
Jesus has given a blunt command to all who call God their heavenly Father: Don’t be anxious. Don’t worry, even about the most basic needs of life, like food, drink, and clothing. Why? Because God will provide for you. He is able, and you are highly valuable to Him.
God is never too busy for us. He invites us to draw near to His throne with confidence to receive grace, mercy, and help in time of need He hears and answers our prayers. Heavenly Father delivers us from evil when we let Him. He weeps for us when we suffer. Ultimately, all of our blessings come from the Father. As these and other scriptures show, Heavenly Father wants us to become like Him, return to Him, and be truly happy. In general, the title Father (capitalized) signifies God’s role as the life-giver, the authority, and powerful protector, often viewed as immense, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent with infinite power and charity that goes beyond human understanding. It is always important to give gratitude to Our Heavenly Father for all things that he does in your life. Remember also the true meaning biblically of the Thanksgiving holiday is; Thanksgiving is a way of entering the presence of God, as seen in Psalm 100:4: “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name.” God says that thanksgiving is the equivalent of an Old Testament sacrifice. See Psalm 116:17 above. the Old Testament thanks and praise were an integral and significant part of corporate worship, often accompanied by the singing of massed choirs. Individual thanksgiving was common among devout Hebrews: “I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might” (Dan. 2:23).
Closing Prayer; Heavenly Father we thank you for your protection and providing for us our needs. Help us to be more thankful not just on Thanksgiving but all year, and to draw closer to you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Prayer of Salvation to become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
