Opening Hymn; It is well with my soul by Audrey Assad;

When peace like a river, attendeth my way

When sorrows like sea billows roll

Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say

It is well, it is well, with my soul

It is well

With my soul

It is well, it is well with my soul

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come

Let this blest assurance control

That Christ has regarded my helpless estate

And hath shed His own blood for my soul

It is well (it is well)

With my soul (with my soul)

It is well, it is well with my soul

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!

My sin, not in part but the whole

Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul!

It is well (it is well)

With my soul (with my soul)

It is well, it is well with my soul

It is well (it is well)

With my soul (with my soul)

It is well, it is well with my soul.

This week we talked about being born again. It is a very important subject. When you are a child you are baptized, and you think then that is all you need to do. No, until you are the age of an adult. Once you are an adult, you need to be born again. You can do this by prayer, in a church service. There is a prayer we put at the bottom of the page after each lesson where you can do this. Some faiths put water on your head, and some submerge you in a tub which is a way John the baptist and the lord did. Make no mistake, water does not save you. What saves you is what you believe in your heart. It does show publicly you believe in Jesus.

We also discussed about spiritual self examination. It is important to do. If there is anything in your life that is not of Our Heavenly Father you need to ask for forgiveness, pray it out and repent of it.

Spiritual self examination assessing one’s actions, motivations, and attitudes with the purpose of aligning oneself with Our Heavenly Father’s will. Examining oneself in the light of Our Heavenly Father’s Word helps individuals identify areas where they can improve and allows for repentance, transformation, and a deeper relationship with Our Heavenly Father. The next subject is how to pray better to Our Heavenly Father. There are 5 ways. Use them to help stregnthen you walk with him. If you do not understand go back over the lesson.

Five Ways to Strengthen Your Prayer Life

  1. Pray in every circumstance. Is anyone among you in trouble? …
  2. Have faith in prayer. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. …
  3. Give thanks in prayer. …
  4. Try changing your prayer routine. …
  5. Pray with other people.
