In Christianity, Christmas tree is symbolic of birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The tree’s branches and shrubs are viewed as an emblem of immortality and are said to symbolize the crown of thorns worn by Christ on the cross.
The shape of the poinsettia flower and leaves resemble the Star of Bethlehem which led the Wise Men to Jesus. The red-colored leaves represent the blood of Christ shed for the world. The white leaves represent His purity.
Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
Leviticus 23:40 And you shall take on the first day the fruit of splendid trees, branches of palm trees and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.
Psalm 126:3 The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
Closing Prayer; Thank You, Lord, for sending Your Son Jesus to save the world from sin and evil. Each Christmas, You remind us of the beauty of Your grace as the poinsettia waves in the wind. Thank You, Lord, for coming into the world to save sinners like us.
Prayer of Salvation: Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
