Opening Hymn: Joy to the world by Phil Wickham:
Joy to the world the Lord is come
Let earth receive her king
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and Heaven and nature sing
We will sing, sing, sing
Joy to the world
We will sing, sing, sing
Joy to the world the savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods rocks hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy
We will sing, sing, sing
Joy to the world
We will sing, sing, sing
He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders of His love
Joy to the world
We will sing, sing, sing
Joyful, joyful we adore Thee
God of glory, Lord of love
And hearts unfold like flowers before Thee
Opening to the sun above
Joyful, joyful we adore Thee
God of glory, Lord of love
And hearts unfold like flowers before Thee
Opening to the sun above
Sermon:
By blessing God and thanking Him for our food, it will help us to focus on God and to thank Him in every area of our life. As Paul says in Colossians 3:17, “Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
Christmas Eve is also celebrated with many cultural traditions, such as: Gathering with family and friends, Singing Christmas carols, Decorating with lights and trees, and Exchanging gifts.
Christmas Eve is a time of anticipation, reflection, and celebration for Christians around the world. As we await the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we often turn to Scripture to deepen our understanding and to prepare our hearts for the holy occasion. Invite someone to share a meal
Overcome your fear of feeling awkward and invite someone to share a Christmas meal with your family.
Parents and children need to be reminded of the story of the gospel and reiterate each day why we are celebrating the Christmas season. Read the Bible together, sing Christ-focused songs, and put on plays in the home that point you back to gospel truths.
Let us remember that we are all one, embracing all, discriminating against none. May your year be filled with peace, prosperity and love. May God’s blessings shower upon you and bestow upon each of you a bright, healthy and peaceful new year.
Spend it in quiet meditation or prayer as a way to start the year in peace and harmony. Make sure you arrange for your meditation time to extend past midnight. It’s the perfect way to not only start a brand new year but end an old one. You can also do this with others if you prefer.
The holidays can be the hardest for so many people. This Bible Story lesson is meant to bring hope into lives that may be wondering if God has forgotten. It is a reminder to all of us that God is faithful no matter what we may see with our eyes or feel with our hearts.
Most will probably end with the Wisemen or before. Let them know that today we’re going to take the Christmas Bible Story a little farther to two people who had waited all their lives to meet the Messiah. But first we’ll have to go backwards before we go forwards to clearly see God’s faithfulness.
A biblical study on New Year’s resolutions would highlight that while the concept of “New Year’s resolutions” isn’t explicitly mentioned in the Bible, the core idea of self-reflection, setting goals, and striving for positive change aligns with scripture, particularly through verses encouraging personal growth and reliance on God to achieve those goals; emphasizing that resolutions should be made with a focus on aligning actions with God’s will and seeking His guidance throughout the process.
Closing Hymn: Silent night by Freeman Young:
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child!
Holy Infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
2 Silent night, holy night,
Darkness flies, all is light;
Shepherds hear the angels sing,
“Alleluia! hail the King!
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born.”
Closing Prayer: Lord, do Your will in me. Even as I desire to make changes in my life, continually remind me that I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. As I resolve to walk with You day by day, moment by moment, You will make the changes in me that You desire. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
