How do you fight spiritual warfare?
Here are my practical tips for encountering spiritual warfare
- Recognize the spirit/principality as one of darkness. …
- Say the name of Jesus, and cast out the presence in His name! …
- Pray Scripture. …
- Invite the Holy Spirit into the space. …
- Repentance and/or breaking agreement is sometimes necessary
Once you recognize the stronghold, the next step to bringing it down is repentance. Be honest before God, and humbly let the Spirit expose the stronghold in the darkness. Pray, “Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind.” When the Holy Spirit shows you an area of darkness, repent. The Apostle Paul has traditionally been attributed as the writer of the Book of Ephesians, the tenth book of the New Testament, although it is more likely the work of one of his disciples.[6] Within 6:10–12 of Ephesians, Paul addresses spiritual warfare and how to combat spiritual attacks; “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”[7]
Absolutely it’s real. It can vary in symptoms. A person can become irritable or suddenly insecure. The Devil likes to whisper lies to us. Whether you’ve experienced a dark time in your life that you couldn’t explain or you’re seeking to understand what the Bible says about spiritual warfare, it’s important for every Christian to be aware of the war that rages around them. For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8)
As said in Ephesians 6:12, our struggle is ultimately against “spiritual forces of evil,” meaning the real battle is the spiritual warfare of good versus evil. There is a spiritual war ongoing for the hearts of man, as the forces of evil want to turn us away from God and separate us from Him. But for those with God through Jesus, the battle is already won as Christ overcame death with the resurrection. We must be born again of spirit with faith in Jesus to be saved from the “second” death of the spirit (John 3).
Heavenly Father help us to get to know you better, and help us to guide anyone who does not believe towards you so they can have a chance to have a good relationship with you. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
Heavenly Father, I’m asking You to give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive Your correction and guidance, as I seek a faith revolution in my life—a dramatic turnaround in my thinking, believing, speaking and acting. I ask You to give me the strength to hold strong in the days ahead.
SALVATION PRAYER
Lord Jesus; Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
