Psalm 121:7-8 “The LORD shall preserve you from all evil. He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth and even for evermore.
Ephisians 11 Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. 12For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.
Leviticus 8 22 24 22 Then he presented the second ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. 23 Moses slaughtered it and took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.
Lesson:
According to the Bible, the promise of protection from our Heavenly Father is that He will “watch over you,” “keep you from all harm,” and “guard your going out and coming in,” essentially signifying that He is always present and will shield you from danger, as seen most prominently in Psalm 91 and Psalm 121:2, 5, 8.
Key points about this promise:
- Found in scripture:
Psalm 91 is often cited as the primary passage describing God’s protection, with verses like “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge”. - Angelic protection:
Many verses also mention that God will send angels to watch over and guard those who trust in - Unconditional love:
The promise of protection is seen as a reflection of God’s love and care for his children.
I cannot face tomorrow without the promise of Your presence. Today I choose to walk and live God’s promise to protect us from the enemy & bless faithful followers with a long life & salvation. Cross My Heart.
- the protection of You, The Most High. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
The “Promise of the Father” that Jesus instructed the Apostles to remain in Jerusalem and wait for, is none other than the Holy Spirit, the third member of the “Holy Trinity”.
Next, the psalmist writes of promises given by the Lord to those who belong to Him: protections from enemies, plagues and pestilence; God’s faithfulness as a shield around them; and His angels given charge to protect them (91:3-13). no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.
He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. Psalm 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you.If you read
Psalm 91, you will see that it isn’t just a powerful prayer, but it’s a promise that God’s care will be bestowed upon you: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. ‘
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come before you today, trusting in your unwavering promise of protection. As I navigate through life’s uncertainties, I find comfort knowing that you are my shield and my refuge, covering me with your wings and shielding me from all harm. Keep me safe from dangers seen and unseen, and guide my steps with your loving hand. In the name of Our lord and savior we pray.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
