Lesson:
We help our children learn life skills and encourage them in their gifts and talents. But help them see that true wisdom comes from our heavenly Father. His inspired Word is the ultimate source of wisdom and truth. It’s also true that Our Heavenly Father graciously uses trials to produce sweet fruit in our lives (James 1:2–4), often using difficult circumstances to teach us some of life’s most valuable lessons. Praying, “Lord, teach and grow me through this trial,” is always useful for us and precious to Our Heavenly Father. In Romans 15:14 Paul writes, “I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another.” Likewise, he exhorts the Colossians to “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom” Heavenly Father desires a fulness of joy for all of His children. He provided a plan whereby His children may become like Him and receive a fulness of joy. This plan is often referred to as the plan of salvation, the plan of redemption, or the plan of happiness. Our Heavenly Father does use suffering to teach us lessons, and he does sometimes take the suffering away when we learn that lesson. However, that’s not always the case. A loving God allows evil and suffering because he wants us to be free to choose and free to experience love.“Bad things often happen to good people because the reality is that sometimes good people do bad things,” Rev. Rasmussen said, “and it causes harm. Sometimes to ourselves, sometimes to other people. God loves us so much that he gives us the gift of freedom. Spend time in prayer acknowledging who He is. Meet with other believers and set your eyes on things that are bigger than your circumstances. Serve those around you. These simple practices will help you see God outside of difficult things, which will establish trust in your heart that He will move in your circumstances. Heavenly Father allows us to struggle and fail to bring humility and realization we need Him in our lives all day, every day. Sometimes it is hard to see and understand why a loving God allows us to struggle and experience hardship, but it is because of His love for us and His desire to bring us closer to Him he allows it.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father we pray that your children understand this and will spread it to ones that are not your children, but we hope that everyone that reads this will understand it, and if they do not they will pay attention to you and then we also hope that they learn a lesson from this subject and we pray this in the name of Our lord and savior.
Prayer for renewing faith
Heavenly Father, I’m asking You to give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive Your correction and guidance, as I seek a faith revolution in my life—a dramatic turnaround in my thinking, believing, speaking and acting. I ask You to give me the strength to hold strong in the days ahead.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
