When people are called to teach or preach the word of Our Heavenly Father you cannot stop it, only he can do this if he desires it to be done. When you are asked to teach or preach Our Heavenly Father’s word you should feel blessed, in fact you are blessed if that happens. It is a very important job, the most important here on earth. It is to help people become a born again child of Our Heavenly Father. You should also take it very very seriously, because it is something very serious.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the truth, and it is essential to spread it to those who may not know it. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” By sharing the Gospel, we are helping others find the truth that can free them. According to the words of Jesus in Mark 16:15-16, He commanded the disciples with these words; “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.” The power of Our Heavenly Father’s Word lies in the truth it proclaims. Because Scripture is inspired and Our Heavenly Father-breathed, it’s useful for teaching, training and guiding us in truth. It becomes the tool to reprove, convict or rebuke so we might know and follow Our Heavenly Father’s will. The first sign of Our Heavenly Father’s call to the ministry as “an intense, all-absorbing desire for the work.” Those called by him sense a growing compulsion to preach and teach the Word, and to minister to the people of Our Heavenly Father. Proclaim the Word of Our Heavenly Father and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit —with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people. Because I want to drive home one really important point — Telling people about Jesus is not optional. On that mountain, Jesus didn’t give a suggestion; He gave a command — a divine imperative. The Bible says, “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ” (Acts 5:42). Just before Jesus returned to Heaven, He commanded His followers to go throughout the world preaching to the lost. We can define preaching as the invitational and exhortational proclamation of biblical and theological truth. Teaching, by contrast, is the explanation and explication of biblical and theological truth. What is shared between Christian preaching and teaching is the content—biblical and theological truth. If you tell them it’s funny, many of your listeners will think, “We’ll see if it’s funny or not.” Instead of experiencing the story, they will critique the story. If the story is funny let it speak for itself. Starting your sermon by reading the text is a big mistake. Sharing your faith is a scary prospect. You can lose face and friends as a result of communicating this “narrow-minded” message of the Gospel, even when you do so in love. When choosing between being accepted by others and sharing the good news with others, too often Christians choose silence. If you have fear around evangelism, pray. Don’t accept the lie that Our Heavenly Father will refuse to help you until you build your own strength. Ask Our Heavenly Father to replace your fear with his love and give you his peace. Our Heavenly Father hasn’t left us alone with the message of 5 Mistakes Most Preachers Make
Failing to Get To The Right Kind of Simplicity. Complexity is the enemy of great communication. …
Making the Bottom Line More Important Than the Text. …
Making Your Exposition More Important Than the Text. …
Treating the Text As If It Was More Important Than Jesus. …
Trying to Cover Too Much.
Great preachers study a Scripture text to find a sermon they need to hear and then preach that sermon to their listeners. This ensures that the sermon will be preached with genuine passion and conviction. Great preachers feel they will die unless they communicate what Our Heavenly Father has put on their hearts to say.
Closing prayer;
We Pray that the Holy Spirit would take their teaching and move in the hearts and lives of those they teach. Nothing is more satisfying to a pastor or Bible teacher than to see how God takes his Word and moves in the hearts and lives of God’s people.
Prayer for renewing faith
Heavenly Father, I’m asking You to give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive Your correction and guidance, as I seek a faith revolution in my life—a dramatic turnaround in my thinking, believing, speaking and acting. I ask You to give me the strength to hold strong in the days ahead.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
