Matthew 7:12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Philippians 2:3 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
The apostle Paul had similar things to say about respect: “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10. The Greek word Peter and Paul use for respect (timé) means to give value, make heavy or weighty. Both Peter and Paul teach that we should respect every person. This means that you should honor one another above anything other than our lord and savior. You should respect everyone. This also means that you should not want to hurt anyone of any kind in any way, this is also part of respect. You should help people in any way you can that is not harmful. Some people for example may have trouble reaching up on a shelf. A kind thing to do would be to help them or ask, can I help with that. Offer to help if you see someone struggling with someone. Your Heavenly Father likes this type of thing, he loves it. Try not to fight with each other, be calm with situations, turn a negative into positive. If you can you should always check with Our lord and savior He always takes our problems and fixes them in his time. Remember, your lord and savior can always see a head of you, so if he sees something further down the road and if he decides what he is going to do will hurt or help you, it will either be done or will not. If it is not done, and he sees something, maybe he will have something better done for you.
1 Peter 2:17 “Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the King.”
Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things and by Your will they were created and have their being.”The Bible teaches that we ought to respect others, not because they’ve earned it, but because God respects each one of us and commands us to do the same. Simon Peter was strong-willed, outspoken and at times impulsive, but he was one of Jesus’ closest friends. Showing all people the love of Christ through what we do and how we treat them. Each person brings value to the world and to God’s kingdom. We all have purpose, and we should treat all people mindfully and with great respect because God has deemed them of value. He is always kind and compassionate toward us, even in our sin. His sacrifice on the cross sealed the forgiveness of our sin. Jesus modeled kindness, compassion, and forgiveness for all mankind to follow. It is always better to respect someone else because it makes it easier to work with them, and it is something Our Heavenly Father desires us to do.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for letting us do this lesson with respect, and we hope and pray that all that read this will stop doing things that are harmful and negative, and start doing things that are positive. We also pray that if they do not understand or will not, that you will do something to help them comprehend all this and stop doing negative things and more positive things in your glory. And in your will. We ask this in the name of our lord and savior.
Prayer for renewing faith
Heavenly Father, I’m asking You to give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive Your correction and guidance, as I seek a faith revolution in my life—a dramatic turnaround in my thinking, believing, speaking and acting. I ask You to give me the strength to hold strong in the days ahead.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
