Opening Hymn: Great is thy faithfulness by Carie Underwood:
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine with 10, 000 beside
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Sermon:
Our Heavenly Father does not expect us to use our power all the time, because it is limited and we are only to use it when we absolutely have to down here on earth. Another thing he does not expect us to do is do not let our power go to our heads, use it very wisely. In Christian theology God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and totally free, however he is also completely good and holy. Therefore, although nothing outside of God can limit him, God can limit himself, and does. Some people accept the invitation to teach enthusiastically while others do so more reluctantly. Teaching is a great responsibility and paradoxically will enrich your own growth as you lead others in their growth. This resource might serve as a crash course in the basics of teaching or a helpful reminder of things forgotten, or an encouragement along your journey as a teacher.
We teach and lead because God has called us to do so. For thousands of years God has asked and equipped teachers to participate in the work of helping others come to know God and live as people of faith. These teachers and leaders have come in many shapes and forms, from many backgrounds, and with many levels of ability. But each has somehow hard a When people are called to teach or preach the word of Our Heavenly Father you cannot stop it, only he can do this if he desires it to be done. When you are asked to teach or preach Our Heavenly Father’s word you should feel blessed, in fact you are blessed if that happens. It is a very important job, the most important here on earth. It is to help people become a child of Our Heavenly Father. Many people have had a call to teach and has responded. You should also take it very very seriously, because it is something very serious. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the truth, and it is essential to spread it to those who may not know it. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” By sharing the Gospel, we are helping others find the truth that can free them. Both Peter and Paul teach that we should respect every person. This means that you should honor one another above anything other than our lord and savior. You should respect everyone. This also means that you should not want to hurt anyone of any kind in any way, this is also part of respect. You should help people in any way you can that is not harmful. Some people for example may have trouble reaching up on a shelf. A kind thing to do would be to help them or ask, can I help with that. Offer to help if you see someone struggling with someone. Your Heavenly Father likes this type of thing, he loves it. Try not to fight with each other, be calm with situations, turn a negative into positive. If you can you should always check with Our lord and savior He always takes our problems and fixes them in his time. The word expectation is used only six times in the ESV Bible, and the word expect, 20 times. It’s used three times in Proverbs, and all three speak negatively of the expectations of the wicked or wealth. Jesus said, “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Listen! The LORD is calling to the city– and to fear your name is wisdom– “Heed the rod and the You can praise Our Heavenly Father directly by praying to Him. However, you can also praise in a number of other ways, including through music and art, during group worship, or by telling others about His glory. Praise can be given anywhere and at any time. As long as it comes from your heart, there’s no wrong way to praiseGod! We honor Heavenly Father as we deepen our relationship with Him by making and keeping all the saving covenants and ordinances. He blesses those who keep their covenants with His Spirit to guide and strengthen them. Following are the most important covenant relationships we can establish with Heavenly Father. Heavenly Father in all His majesty deserves our praise. Therefore, honor God by verbally expressing your gratitude for
His goodness (2 Chronicles 20). Additionally, lift your voi who appointed it.
Closing Hymn: Trust and obey by Don Moen:
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His word
What a glory He sheds on our way
While we do His good will, He abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But His smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt nor a fear, not a sigh nor a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey
Oh, trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
Oh, trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
And ’tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His word
Just to rest upon His promise
Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord”
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus
Oh, for grace to trust Him more
Lord, oh, for grace to trust You more
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love. Thank you for caring for us in our daily journeys. Thank you for guiding us in our decisions, thank you for giving us wisdom when we stumble, and thank you for leading us to support one another. We thank you in the name of Our lord and savior.
Prayer for renewing faith
Heavenly Father, I’m asking You to give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive Your correction and guidance, as I seek a faith revolution in my life—a dramatic turnaround in my thinking, believing, speaking and acting. I ask You to give me the strength to hold strong in the days ahead.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
