Yesterday we talked about what salvation is, and just to review, Salvation is being saved or rescued from the penalty of separation from Our Heavenly Father. To be saved from your sin, take these three steps: Ask forgiveness for your sins; be willing to turn from your sins; and believe that Jesus Christ—our Lord and Savior—died for your sins and rose again. Romans 10:9-10 says, “that if you confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus and believe in your heart that Our Heavenly Father has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”Yes, Jesus says we are saved by faith alone. Here are two examples of Jesus making the proclamation that salvation is by faith, in Him, alone. “Then He said to her, ‘Your sins are forgiven’. And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves ‘Who is this who even forgives sins? When we believe Eve. In Jesus Romans. 10 9 tells us this that if you declare with your mouth. Jesus is Lord. And believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. What must you do to be saved and go to heaven?
What must I do to be saved?
Call on the name of the Lord.
Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and raised from the dead.
Confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord.
However, the Bible teaches that the only way to get to heaven is to become a Christian, which you do by accepting Jesus as your Savior. First, take some time to familiarize yourself with Christianity and Jesus’ message. Then, say a simple prayer committing your life to being a follower of Jesus Christ. All you need do is to ensure that you have taken the following steps: Accept the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16) Acknowledge your sins before God and sincerely repent from them (2 Corinthians 7:10; 2 Peter 3:9). Believe in.The answer regarding the question of salvation as given by Paul and Silas is, “Believe in the Lord Jesus.” (Acts 16:31 NIV).
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father we pray that all the people reading this lesson will accept you as lord and savior and get to know you and walk with you like you want them to. We pray this in the name of Our lord and savior.
Prayer for renewing faith
Heavenly Father, I’m asking You to give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive Your correction and guidance, as I seek a faith revolution in my life—a dramatic turnaround in my thinking, believing, speaking and acting. I ask You to give me the strength to hold strong in the days ahead.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
