Lesson:
Our Heavenly Father always desires for many people to be part of his family. He also calls people to help lead other people to him, how is this done? To lead someone to “Our Heavenly Father,” which in Christian terms means accepting Jesus Christ as their savior, you should: share the basic Gospel message of God’s love, explain the concept of sin and its consequences, present Jesus as the sacrifice for our sins, and invite them to personally accept Jesus through prayer, while being patient, understanding, and answering any questions they may have; essentially, focus on building a relationship with God through Jesus Christ by understanding His sacrifice and accepting His gift of salvation.
Key points to remember:
Start with a personal connection:
Build rapport and create a safe space for open conversation about spiritual matters.
Explain the need for salvation:
Share how everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, and that this separation from God has consequences
Present Jesus as the answer:
Clearly explain that Jesus Christ is God’s Son who lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and rose again, offering us the path to forgivenes and eternal
Address concerns and questions:
Be prepared to answer questions about the Bible, faith, and the Christian life in a clear and respectful manner.
Invite them to accept Jesus:
Encourage the person to pray a simple prayer where they acknowledge their sinfulness, accept Jesus as their Savior, and commit to following Him.
Provide support and guidance:
After they make a decision, offer to connect them with a church community, provide resources for further study, and encourage them to continue growing in their faith.
Important aspects to consider
Be genuine and authentic: Share your own personal experience with God to build trust.
Listen actively: Pay attention to their concerns and questions, and tailor your approach accordingly.
Respect their journey: Understand that everyone has their own pace and may need time to process information.
Focus on love and grace: Emphasize God’s unconditional love and forgiveness.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father we pray that the people that read this lesson will learn how to lead people and be good leaders to get people to your kingdom. We pray this in the name of Our lord and savior.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
