  • Genesis 1:2: Wind represents the Holy Spirit’s role in the creation of the world. 
  • Genesis 2:7: The breath of God, or wind, represents the Holy Spirit’s role in the creation of humans. 
  • 1 Kings 19:12: The Holy Spirit is present in the whispering wind. 
  • Acts 2:1–2: On the day of Pentecost, a sound from heaven like a mighty windstorm filled the house where believers were gathered. 
  • John 3:8: The wind is used to illustrate that people are born of the Spirit in a way that cannot be explained. 
  • Psalms 78:26: The east wind represents God’s judgments, while the south wind represents the move of the Spirit, or revival. 
  • The Holy Spirit: In the Bible, wind is a symbol of the Holy Spirit’s role in creation and participation in the creation of humans. The Holy Spirit is described as coming suddenly and unpredictably, like the wind. 
  • Divine intervention: Wind can represent a messenger of divine intervention. 
  • Life force: Wind is a source of life force and can represent life, power, and freedom.
