Opening Hymn: It is well with my soul by David Phelps and Guy Penrod:
When peace like a river attended my way
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought
My sin, not in part but the whole
Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, oh, my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul
And Lord haste the day when my faith shall be sight
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll
The trumpet shall sound and the Lord shall descend
Even so, it is well with my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
Oh it is well, it is well with my soul
It is well with my soul
Sermon:
Although Our Heavenly Father knows that we have to work and make money and pay our bills and shop for food, we have to remember one thing, we cannot take our money with us when we go home to the Heavenly realms. It will be left behind if it is not willed to someone and end up as stake money and not go to your family or your friends unless you write a will directing where the money goes. The direct point of this lesson is that you do not belong to earth, you belong to heaven. You cannot take money with you, instead spend time with the lord, your family and friends more, and make sure they know the lord. As you grow in your faith, help them grow too, by encouraging them to walk with the lord by reading the Bible and getting to know the lord’s word, and by being there and getting them to be higher in spiritual faith. This is very important in the end times that we are in now, because you do not know, as the lord put it into words once, he will come like a thief in the night and take his children home, so you do not know when that might be. So if we were you we would start walking closely with the lord. Our Heavenly Father always desires for many people to be part of his family. He also calls people to help lead other people to him, how is this done? To lead someone to “Our Heavenly Father,” which in Christian terms means accepting Jesus Christ as their savior, you should: share the basic Gospel message of God’s love, explain the concept of sin and its consequences, present Jesus as the sacrifice for our sins, and invite them to personally accept Jesus through prayer, while being patient, understanding, and answering any questions they may have; essentially, focus on building a relationship with God through Jesus Christ by understanding His sacrifice and accepting His gift of salvation.
Provide support and guidance:
After they make a decision, offer to connect them with a church community, provide resources for further study, and encourage them to continue growing in their faith.
Important aspects to consider
Be genuine and authentic: Share your own personal experience with God to build trust.
Listen actively: Pay attention to their concerns and questions, and tailor your approach accordingly.
Respect their journey: Understand that everyone has their own pace and may need time to process information.
Focus on love and grace: Emphasize God’s unconditional love and forgiveness.
The phrase “love your neighbor as yourself” means to love others unconditionally and generously, in the same way that you love yourself. It’s a commandment that appears in the Bible in Mark 12:31 and Matthew 22:39.
Here are some ways to love your neighbor as yourself:
- Get to know them: Go outside of your comfort zone to learn more about your neighbor.
- Do something for them: Bake cookies, run an errand, or offer to babysit.
- Let them know you care: Leave a note, a baked good, or some flowers on their doorstep.
- Pray for them: Directly pray for them by name.
- Be there for them: Be someone they can rely on, and they’ll likely do the same for you.
- Nurture yourself: Practice self-care so you have the energy to love others.
In the Bible, God’s ruah (wind, spirit, breath) moved upon the waters in Genesis 1:2.
Many people do not know the information above and that there is a lot in spirituality that is connected to wind. If wind is strong enough to blow things over or people over it could also represent the Holy Spirit being unhappy with humans on earth that like to sin.
Grapes, as a symbol, often point to spiritual fruitfulness and abundance, but they also represent divine wrath and judgement. They are depicted in fruitful scenarios, signaling blessings and bounty from God, as well as in the context of the wrathful “winepress of God’s fury. The Bible warns against drunkenness and the danger of intoxication, but also sees wine as a blessing that should be received with thanksgiving.
Closing Hymn: I got the victory by Ricky Diliard:
The devil thought he had me
But I got away
All because I (I’ve got the victory)
Sickness had me bound
But now I’m free
All because I (I’ve got the victory)
The devil thought that he had me
But Jesus came and grabbed me
(There’s no doubt in my mind, I, I’ve got the victory)
The devil thought he had me
But I got away
All because I (I’ve got the victory)
Depression had me bound
But now I’m free
All because I (I’ve got the victory)
The devil thought that he had me
But Jesus came and grabbed me
(There’s no doubt in my mind, I, I’ve got the victory)
Well I’ve come through (I’ve come through)
Many trials (many trials)
I’ve come through (I’ve come through)
Sickness and pain (sickness and pain)
They said I wouldn’t make it
They said I wouldn’t be here today
But by his grace, and by his love
I’ve already overcome
I’ve got
(I’ve got the victory)
Oh Yes, I’ve got it
(Yes, I’ve got it)
Jesus gave it (I’ve got the Victory)
I know that I got it (Yes, I’ve got it)
I wonder do you (I’ve got the Victory)
Have the victory tonight (Yes, I’ve got it)
Through every hard trial (I’ve got the Victory)
Do you know you got the victory (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Well say yes I’ve got it ((Yes, I’ve Got it)
Yes I’ve got it (Yes, I’ve Got it)
I got in my hands (Yes, I’ve Got it)
I got it in my heart (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Oh I’ve got it (I’ve got the Victory)
Is there any body here (Yes, I’ve Got it)
that’s going through a storm in your life (I’ve got the Victory)
But you came out with the victory (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Sometimes up (I’ve got the Victory)
and sometimes down (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Almost leveled (I’ve got the Victory)
Almost leveled to the ground (Yes, I’ve Got it)
But look here
Yes I’ve got it (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Yes I’ve got it (Yes, I’ve Got it)
I’ve seen many failures (Yes, I’ve Got it)
And I’ve suffered indeed (Yes, I’ve Got it)
But one thing about it (Yes, I’ve Got it)
No good thing (Yes, I’ve Got it)
will he withhold from me (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Thank God for victory (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Because the Lord saw fit (Yes, I’ve Got it)
that after I had suffered awhile (Yes, I’ve Got it)
He promised me (Yes, I’ve Got it)
That he would settle me (Yes, I’ve Got it)
He would establish me (I’ve got the Victory)
He would strengthen me (Yes, I’ve Got it)
I’ve got (I’ve got the Victory)
I’ve got the victory (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Is there anybody here (I’ve got the Victory)
That can testify tonight (I’ve got the Victory)
That you got the victory (I’ve got the Victory)
You know it in your heart (I’ve got the Victory)
You believe it in your soul (I’ve got the Victory)
The devil can’t take it (I’ve got the Victory)
The devil can’t snatch It (I’ve got the Victory)
The devil can’t move you (I’ve got the Victory)
You got victory here today (I’ve got the Victory)
Oh yeah (I’ve got the Victory)
Say yes I got it (Yes, I’ve Got it)
I got it on a Monday (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Friday and Saturday (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Blessed when I go out (Yes, I’ve Got it)
And I’m blessed when I’m coming in (Yes, I’ve Got it)
There’s victory all around me (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Every door that I enter (Yes, I’ve Got it)
Put your hands together and praise Him if you know you got the victory
If You got it (I got it)
Let me see you wave your hand (I got it)
And if you know it (I got it)
Let me see your leap for joy (I got It)
Rejoice (I got it)
if you got it (I got It)
Rejoice (I got It)
If you got it (I got It)
You made it (I got It)
through the divorce (I got It)
You made it (I got It)
through the course (I got It)
If you got it
begin to shout (I got It)
speak in tongues,
clap your hands (I got It)
do your dance
If you know (I got It)
You got it listen
If you got it (I got It)
Let me see your wave your hand (I got It)
When the devil said no (I got It)
God said yes (I got It)
Yes!!!! (I got It)
You got it (I got It)
