Job 32:21: “Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man”.
I will not now be a respecter of persons, neither will I give flattering titles unto man. KJV. Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me.
Romans 8:18 Paul says, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.”
Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Psalm 46:5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
Jeremiah 31:3The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
Lesson:
Titles are not considered important to our Heavenly Father because the focus should be on our genuine relationship with him, based on love, respect, and a sincere heart, rather than the formal labels we use to address him; our actions and character matter more than the titles we use when praying or speaking about him. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over .Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven. Do not be called ‘Master’; you have but one master, the Christ. God knows our hearts:
Heavenly Father is said to see beyond titles and understands our true intentions and motivations
Focus on the relationship:
The most important aspect is having a personal connection with God, not the specific words used to address him
Humility and reverence:
Using titles can sometimes create a barrier or distance, while a humble approach emphasizes our dependence on God.
Jesus forbids ministers of the Gospel to have titles to their names. Just look at Matthew 23:18-20: “But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. What is Leviticus 27-30
ESV “Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord ‘s; it is holy to the Lord. NIV ” ‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord
Closing Prayer:
We pray for all leaders of Your people. we pray that they will not lead selfishly, for personal ambition or vain conceit. that leading is really a task that requires them to serve. In the name of the lord and savior we pray.
Lord Jesus take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and I know you will answer my prayers. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
